This role identifies the functional and high-level technical requirements necessary to implement new and enhanced system modifications required by business owners. Additionally, the individual acts as a liaison between the business/end users and IT systems development teams during the execution of development work cycles.

Essential Job Duties

• In concert with the assigned Solution Architect act as a liaison between the IT development group and business units for the development and implementation of new systems and enhancement of existing systems.
• Identify and analyze business needs, gather requirements, and define scope and objectives.
• Make recommendations for solutions or improvements to business processes that can be accomplished through new technology or alternative uses of existing technology.
• Research business requirements and document the relationships between the components of the application system (i.e., end users, business processes, data, applications, and devices).
• Translate business requirements into application requirements.
• Prepare communications and make presentations on system enhancements and/or alternatives.
• Assume other duties as assigned.

Supervisory Responsibilities

Not responsible for supervising employees.

Minimum Requirements

Education & Experience High School Diploma/GED. 3+ years of related experience required; Still acquiring higher-level knowledge and skills; Degree or equivalent work experience.

Preferred Requirements

Bachelor's Degree.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities

• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
• Ability to compute rates, ratios, and percentages and to draw and interpret graphs.
• Demonstrate use of computer operations (programming, relational databases, and operating systems) and software packages.
• Regularly uses moderately complex oral and written skills.
• May train others in functional areas, interact with others, and make presentations to departments or middle management.
• Problems encountered are routine, somewhat repetitive, and generally solved by following clear directions and procedures.

Essential Physical Demands/Work Environment

Work is primarily sedentary: must be able to sit for extended periods of time and use a computer, keyboard, and mouse, frequently. Travel may be required periodically, including overnight stays (contingent on position requirements). Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds.
