Job summary

You will map processes, gather requirements, analyze problems, and translate needs into system requirements while collaborating with business and technical stakeholders.

Qualifications

• 3+ years experience in business systems analysis and ERP.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Strong SQL skills and relational databases.
• Advanced Excel with Power Query; Power BI experience.
• Experience with ERP systems and integrated processes.
• Experience mapping requirements and translating needs into solutions.
• Strong communication with business and technical stakeholders.
• Epicor Kinetic experience preferred.

The Business Systems Analyst partners with teams across the organization to improve business processes through effective use of technology. This role combines business analysis and process-improvement skills with hands‑on capabilities in ERP systems, data, reporting, and automation to identify practical, sustainable solutions to business needs.

What you’ll bring:

• Post-secondary education in Business, Management Information Systems, Computer Science, Accounting, Engineering, or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience in business systems analysis, ERP/business applications, data analytics, process improvement, or a related role. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
• Strong SQL skills and experience working with relational databases and data structures.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including Power Query, and experience with Power BI or a comparable business‑intelligence platform.
• Experience working with ERP systems and integrated business processes and data.
• Demonstrated ability to map processes, gather requirements, analyze problems, and translate business needs into practical solutions.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively with business and technical stakeholders.
• Experience with Epicor Kinetic or another manufacturing ERP is preferred.
• Experience with Microsoft Power Automate, Power Apps, APIs, system integrations, or similar technologies is an asset.
• Experience in a manufacturing, industrial, energy, or similar operational environment is preferred.
• Familiarity with AI-enabled business tools, Python, Palantir Foundry, or similar technologies is an asset

  • Partner with teams across the organization to understand business processes, pain points, and improvement opportunities.
  • Map processes, identify inefficiencies and control gaps, and translate business needs into clear system requirements.
  • Evaluate and recommend practical solutions using existing ERP functionality, Microsoft tools, third‑party applications, automation, or custom development where appropriate.
  • Evaluate solution options based on functional fit, implementation effort, total cost of ownership, risk, and expected business value, including ROI analysis for larger investments.
  • Develop a strong understanding of the organization's ERP environment, business processes, data structures, and integrations.
  • Identify and implement opportunities to improve ERP configuration, workflows, reporting, and utilization.
  • Investigate native ERP functionality and available partner solutions before recommending custom development.
  • Support ERP integrations, data integrity, system governance, testing, troubleshooting, and user adoption.
• Issue/Manage POs according to direct instruction and system data.
• Develop and maintain reporting and analytical solutions using tools such as Power BI, Excel, Power Query, and SQL.
• Work directly with relational data to investigate business questions, validate reporting, troubleshoot issues, and translate operational data into meaningful business information.
• Improve manual reporting and spreadsheet processes where opportunities exist for greater efficiency, reliability, or control.
• Develop workflow automation and lightweight business applications using tools such as Power Automate and Power Apps where appropriate.
• Coordinate solution implementation, testing, documentation, training, and user adoption.
• Build strong relationships with users and monitor implemented solutions to ensure expected business benefits are achieved.
