Job summary

Insero is seeking a part-time Business Support intern for the Tax Department in Ithaca, NY, January 2027 – April 2027. The role is in-office with a pay rate of $22.00 per hour.

The candidate will contribute to tax document processing, data entry, and support tasks across individual, partnership, and business tax returns. Ideal applicants are enrolled undergraduate students in business, accounting, or related fields who are returning to school.

Qualifications

• Business, Accounting, or Communication students who are currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s degree program.
• Students must be returning to school to be eligible.
• Excellent communication skills, self-confidence, and self-motivation are required to work productively in a professional environment.
• Conscientious, detail-oriented, intellectually curious, and well organized.
• Basic knowledge in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint is required.

Responsibilities

• Gain a basic understanding of how tax processing workflows through the office in various computer programs.
• Scanning and uploading tax documents.
• Assembling and processing of Individual, Partnership, and Business Tax Returns.
• Scan, proof, copy and bind tax returns or financial statements.
• Assist with CPE tracking and support with auditing certificates as needed.
• Improving basic organization and planning skills.
