ERP Systems Specialist / Architect (Dynamics 365)
Location: Greater Pittsburgh, PA
Hybrid: 3+ days/week in office
Position Overview
Our client is a leading global medical technology company that develops and commercializes innovative medical devices and software solutions. With a significant global commercial presence, the organization is focused on developing technologies that help clinicians improve outcomes and deliver better care to patients in some of the most critical moments.
This individual will serve as a key technical and functional resource for Dynamics 365, partnering with stakeholders across the organization to translate business requirements into effective system solutions. Responsibilities will include platform administration, system upgrades, integrations, reporting, workflow configuration, testing, troubleshooting, documentation, and change management.
As a member of the Information Technology team, this position will also have opportunities to participate in broader technology initiatives, including enterprise software implementations, infrastructure and hardware support, new facility technology build-outs, and end-user support.

Key Responsibilities
- Administer and provide ongoing support for Microsoft Dynamics 365, including user accounts, security roles, profiles, permissions, entities, fields, forms, layouts, and record configurations.
- Maintain the reliability, security, performance, and overall health of the Dynamics 365 environment, including user administration and system monitoring.
- Coordinate software testing activities, including development of test strategies, test plans, test cases, testing protocols, environments, and execution of user and system testing.
- Investigate application issues and provide timely troubleshooting, root-cause analysis, and incident resolution.
- Configure and enhance workflows, dashboards, reports, screens, database fields, and other application components based on business needs.
- Proactively identify opportunities to improve business processes and increase utilization and effectiveness of the Dynamics 365 platform.
- Build and maintain workflows and plugins within the Dynamics 365 environment.
- Create user-facing system documentation, including training materials, process guides, job aids, and workflow documentation.
- Respond to business application support requests and analyze and resolve issues involving enterprise applications and related systems.
- Provide system instruction and training to both individual users and groups across the organization.
- Manage multiple projects and support priorities concurrently, adjusting appropriately when urgent technical issues arise.
- Develop and maintain documentation covering system configuration, procedures, policies, application processes, and user-support materials.
- Remain current on new Dynamics 365 capabilities, releases, and functionality and recommend enhancements or process improvements when appropriate.
- Configure, support, and enhance ERP functionality across modules including Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, General Ledger, Inventory Management, Cost Accounting, Warehouse Management, Procurement, and Sourcing.
- Participate in additional IT initiatives, including enterprise software deployments, hardware support and maintenance, new facility technology implementations, and end-user support.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or a related discipline, or an equivalent combination of relevant technical education and professional experience.
- Minimum of 2 years of professional experience working with Microsoft Dynamics.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience developing and modifying custom reports using tools such as Management Reporter, BI Cubes, SQL Server Report Builder, and other applicable reporting technologies.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience working with Microsoft Dynamics Workflow.
- Working knowledge of relational database concepts and data integration tools.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Power Apps and Power Automate.
- At least 1 year of experience supporting financial and/or project-related ERP modules such as General Ledger, Accounts Payable, and Accounts Receivable within platforms such as Microsoft AX/Dynamics 365 Finance and Operations, Oracle, or SAP.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with users across multiple business functions.
- Demonstrated ability to gather and document business requirements and translate them into system and technical design documentation.
- Ability to perform Dynamics 365 configuration and customization, develop or modify standard workflows, and manage solutions within the platform.
- Familiarity with service-center processes, support models, and related workflows.
- Technical and functional knowledge in one or more of the following areas: General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Purchasing, Fixed Assets, or Inventory.
