Job summary

Georgia-Pacific Toledo is seeking a Business Risk Leader to manage compliance, economics, forecasting, and operations through the AMWP. You will be the site AMWP subject matter expert, driving disciplined execution and partnering across functions to improve reliability, spend, MRO, safety, and waste reduction.

The role emphasizes leadership, risk mitigation, and continuous improvement in a manufacturing environment at the Toledo facility in Oregon.

Qualifications

  • Experience using a CMMS (computer maintenance management system).

  • Mentor Gatekeepers in AMWP standards, including spend-plan development and execution, forecasting, and work prioritization.
  • Develop a business mindset across the mill using the DMF.

Your Job

The Business Risk Leader manages compliance, economic, forecasting, and operational risk through the Asset Maintenance Work Process (AMWP), aligning mill leadership to meet or exceed mill goals.

This role serves as the site AMWP subject matter expert, strengthens disciplined execution through PDCA, and uses dashboards, standard work, training, and cross-functional partnership to close gaps and advance reliability, spend, MRO, safety, and waste-reduction priorities.

Our Team

Georgia-Pacific Toledo is a producer of brown paper used to make cardboard and is a leader in recycling in the Northwest. The Toledo Mill is located within a 10-minute drive to the Pacific Ocean. Many outdoor activities are available near the mill including fishing, hiking, mountain biking, kayaking, and boating.

What You Will Do
  • Manage the Business Risk position-compliance, economics, forecasting, and operations-through AMWP, ensuring alignment of mill leadership with mill goals.
  • Support continuous improvement toward zero serious injuries and fatalities (SIFs) and zero Process Safety Level II/III incidents.
  • Build and sustain expert knowledge of all critical AMWP roles as the site subject matter expert.
  • Mentor site Gatekeepers in AMWP standards, including spend-plan development and execution, forecasting, and work prioritization.
  • Develop a business mindset across the mill using the Decision-Making Framework (DMF).
  • Advance and strengthen PBM culture across maintenance by leading discussions and building partnerships throughout the facility.
  • Support the facility vision and Key Bet initiatives for reliability, MRO, spend, and waste reduction.
  • Validate the cadence and sustainability of AMWP, including prioritization meetings, Internal Financial Control reviews, and SAP or PTM/Asset Suite security-profile changes.
  • Facilitate and train Georgia-Pacific Representatives and Gatekeepers on contract management, scope, and spend plans to improve transparency and optimization.
  • Use AMWP dashboards and reports to drive process improvement and gap closure.
  • Oversee the chart of accounts, including the accounts most frequently used by Gatekeepers.
  • Apply comparative advantage to support utilities/recaust operations when needed.
Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)
  • Five or more years of experience working within a manufacturing operation
  • Experience using a CMMS (computer maintenance management system)
What Will Put You Ahead
  • Bachelor's Degree or higher
  • Experience within a pulp and paper manufacturing facility
  • Previous experience within a Gatekeeper or Asset Availability Leader role
