Job description

About Cape

Cape is America’s privacy-first mobile carrier. Our mission is to be a force for good in global wireless. Cape was founded in 2022 by people who believe privacy is a fundamental right, not a luxury to be traded away. Our journey began when our founder recognized a critical vulnerability in our modern world: everyone relies on the same stagnant cellular infrastructure and legacy systems that track our every movement, monitor and profile our connections, and lose and sell our personal data.

Instead of accepting the status quo, we decided to fix it. National security professionals, journalists, parents, and everyone in between can stay connected and have privacy.

We didn’t just build a layer on top of old tech; we built America’s most private and secure mobile carrier from the ground up. By building our own network from scratch, we are able to design and build a suite of privacy and security features that no other carrier on the planet can offer.

Today, Cape provides our secure network to consumers, businesses, and government agencies alike. We closed our Series C in March 2026, and we are scaling rapidly, with the goal of giving people back control of their most personal information.

The Team

At Cape, we are the architects of a privacy-centric movement that is just getting started. We are relentless builders, constantly innovating at the edge of what's possible in telecommunications. We operate on a foundation of high trust and high expectations. Our structure is flat, and collaboration matters more than hierarchy. As a member of our team, you will collaborate with world-class engineers, architects, and visionaries, and work across organizational lines to solve "impossible" problems and deliver mission-critical results for our users every single day.

The Role

Cape is looking for a passionate builder to join our Recruiting team as we fuel growth with the recruitment of high-caliber engineering talent.

The right candidate treats every open role as a massive opportunity cost for the company. They move fast to manage, prioritize, and close searches.

They develop practical and creative ways to identify leading talent, creating a world-class experience for Capers and candidates. They use data to benchmark, surface challenges, and set a new bar for process and quality. In summary, the right candidate, along with the hiring managers, builds high-performing teams that embody Cape’s values and culture.

This is a fast-paced, passionate environment in explosive growth mode - we need you to find the best of the best who will continue to make Cape a great company. This role reports to our Head of Operations.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop unique full cycle hiring strategies with a focus on G&A functions

  • Meet (or exceed) weekly, monthly, quarterly recruiting goals and hiring targets

  • Partner with hiring teams to deeply understand hiring needs and requirements of the role and the ideal candidate

  • Develop a close business relationship with hiring managers, interview teams and executives to influence scoping of roles and ensuring interview team alignment

  • Build talent pipelines for multiple technical job requisitions at any given time

  • Run searches and engage with passive candidates via Ashby, LinkedIn, Google Search Engine, and other platforms

  • Execute and build effective sourcing, assessment, and closing approaches with an ability to manage hiring manager expectations through a deep understanding of return on investment

  • Provide positive and exceptional interview experiences for all parties

Are you the candidate we are looking for? You have:
  • Relentless passion and drive to find and connect with the best talent

  • 4+ years recruiting experience with an in-house recruiting team

  • Experience in tech startups and demonstrated ability to achieve goals in a low structure, fast-paced environment in a flexible manner

  • A sincere understanding of the importance of building relationships with active and passive candidates of all levels

  • Proven experience in building and managing a diverse pipeline

  • Exceptional organizational skills, with attention to detail and great follow-through

  • Passionate, driven mentality with the readiness to jump right in and go!

  • Keep ‘em warm! Manage the existing pipeline of candidates and identify potential opportunities for the future
