Job summary

Nouryon in the Americas is seeking a Business Quality Manager to own customer-facing quality priorities across North and South America. You will align manufacturing-site actions with customer requirements and work closely with commercial, technical, and manufacturing teams to drive sustainable quality improvements.

You will lead investigations into product quality issues, provide clear quality reports, and partner with sites to strengthen QA/QC processes while supporting growth across the GAIN

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Chemistry or Chemical Engineering or related field.
• 5+ years in technical and/or quality management.
• Experience in Automotive, Electronics or Semiconductor industries.
• Fluency in English, written and spoken.

We are looking for a Business Quality Manager – Americas who combines strong technical and quality expertise with a customer-focused mindset to join our Growth Accelerator Industrials (GAIN) business. You will work across functions and manufacturing sites to solve complex quality challenges, strengthen our quality capabilities, and support some of our most technically demanding customers. About the job

As Business Quality Manager – Americas, you will own and drive customer-facing quality priorities across North and South America for our GAIN business. You will serve as a key link between our customers and Nouryon's manufacturing, commercial and technical teams, helping translate demanding customer requirements into sustainable quality improvements that support customer satisfaction and business growth.

In your future role as Business Quality Manager – Americas, you will

• Own and drive customer-facing quality priorities across North and South America, including customer quality topics, escalations and alignment of manufacturing-site actions.
• Provide technical and quality expertise to customers and sales teams, serving as a subject matter expert for our products and customer applications.
• Lead investigations into product quality issues, identify root causes and corrective actions, and provide clear quality reports and responses to customers.
• Partner with manufacturing sites to strengthen quality management systems, QA/QC processes, analytical methods and quality routines.
• Lead strategic quality improvement projects and collaborate with R&D and Technology teams to support new products, grades and methods.
• Build strong relationships across customers, sales, manufacturing, R&D/Technology and other key functions to continuously improve our quality capabilities and customer value proposition.

We believe you bring

• A Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in technical and/or quality management.
• Experience working in or supporting the Automotive, Electronics and/or Semiconductor industries.
• Fluency in English, both written and spoken.
• Strong communication and stakeholder-management skills, with a structured, analytical and solution-oriented approach.
• Strong problem-solving capabilities and a customer-focused mindset.

Great if you have

• A Master's degree or other postgraduate degree in a relevant technical discipline.
• Extensive experience in Quality Assurance, ideally more than 5 years.
• Experience with Lean/Six Sigma, IATF 16949, VDA 6.3 and/or SEMI standards, and/or certification as an ISO 9001 or IATF 16949 auditor.
• Knowledge of structured quality and problem-solving methodologies, including data analysis, MSA, FMEA, RCPS, CAPA and 8D reporting.
• Project management experience.

You will work with highly demanding markets, including Batteries, Electronics, Industrial Catalysis and High Temperature Materials, where product quality, consistency and quality systems are critical to our customers' success.

You will join an international Business Quality organization and work closely with colleagues across manufacturing, Sales, R&D, Technology and other business functions. As the Business Quality Manager for the Americas, you will have the opportunity to influence quality strategy, lead important improvement initiatives, strengthen relationships with strategic customers and contribute directly to the continued growth of the business.

This is a permanent, full-time, onsite position, reporting to the Business Quality Director – GAIN, and based at our Battleground site in the Houston/La Porte, Texas area.
