Job summary

A&D Weighing, Inc. is seeking a hands-on Business Process & Automation Engineer in Ann Arbor to eliminate manual work across Customer Service, Finance, and Operations. You will identify inefficiencies, build automations, and integrate systems for improved accuracy and scalability.

You will design automated workflows, integrate data sources into Odoo ERP, and partner with Finance to automate invoicing and reconciliations. Strong communication with users and stakeholders is required.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in business systems, process automation, systems integration, or related roles.
• Experience with Python scripting, APIs, data transformation, and system integrations.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Experience with ERP, CRM, or business applications.

Responsibilities

• Analyze and improve business processes across Customer Service, Finance, Operations, and IT to increase efficiency, accuracy, and scalability.
• Design, develop, and support automated workflows and system integrations that streamline order processing and reduce manual effort.
• Automate transaction and order intake into Odoo ERP from multiple sources, including email, PDF, CSV, Excel, EDI, APIs, customer portals, and eCommerce platforms.
• Partner with Finance to automate invoicing, payment processing, reconciliations, reporting, and other month-end activities.
• Support customer, vendor, and trading partner onboarding, including EDI setup, integrations, and implementation of standardized processes.
• Build dashboards, reports, and monitoring tools that provide visibility into operational performance and proactively identify issues.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to translate business requirements into practical technology solutions while documenting processes, supporting users, and optimizing business applications.

About the Role

We're looking for a hands-on Business Process & Automation Engineer to help eliminate manual work across Customer Service, Finance, and Operations. • AI/OCR document processing experience
• Familiarity with finance operations and reconciliation processes
