Selected candidate will provide administrative, student employment, compliance, records, reporting, guest artist support, and other general business office projects as assigned. **Position Salary Range:*** $21.20 - $24.03 per hour within posted range. **Essential Duties:*** Manages student employment processes for the School of Music, Dance and Theatre.* Coordinates student worker and graduate teaching assistantship hiring processes, including onboarding, Workday HCM integration, offer letters, payroll activity, and activity pay processing.* Addresses student worker Federal Work Study and Social Security Number requests.* Implements student worker wage increase requests.* Manages international student employment matters related to Sprintax and employment authorization.* Coordinates guest artist activity in collaboration with other staff for the School of Music, Dance and Theatre, from initial contact through final payment.* Tracks departmental compliance with required training and follows up as needed to support timely completion.* Maintains records requiring classification, organization, and compilation of varied information.* Compiles special reports or studies requiring analysis of complex or technical data; identifies appropriate sources, extracts necessary information, and performs specialized calculations.* Drafts correspondence, responds to questions or complaints, and makes adjustments within established guidelines.* Recommends changes to policies or procedures affecting assigned functions.* Plans, organizes, and prioritizes workload to meet established deadlines.* Performs other duties as assigned. **Desired Qualifications:*** Evidence of effective communication skills.* Experience working independently and collaboratively in a team environment.* General knowledge of standard office practices and procedures, including the effective use of technology.* Experience performing work that requires attention to detail, accuracy, sound judgment, and strong organizational skills.* Experience working effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with changing priorities and potentially conflicting deadlines.* Experience with ASU human resources databases, software, and processes, such as PeopleSoft, Workday HCM, Adobe, Canvas, Interfolio, Google Docs, Airtable, and Microsoft Office Suite applications.* Demonstrated knowledge of principles, practices, and procedures of human resource administration.* Demonstrated commitment to exemplary customer service, including active listening, timely response to inquiries, ownership of concerns or problems, professionalism, subject matter expertise, and ongoing professional development.* Experience with problem solving and decision-making in a complex organization.* Experience establishing and maintaining effective working relationships.* Experience using personal computers and related software applications.* Experience recording and compiling materials for reports. **Working Environment:*** Activities are performed in an environmentally controlled office setting subject to extended periods of sitting, keyboarding and manipulating a computer mouse.* Regular use of standard office equipment including but not limited to computer workstation / laptop (keyboard, monitor, mouse), printer, fax, copier, and telephone.**Department Statement:**The Herberger Institute comprises six schools: ASU FIDM; the School of Art; The Design School; The Sidney Poitier New American Film School; The GAME School; and the School of Music, Dance and Theatre; as well as the ASU Art Museum and the ASU FIDM Museum.
