Job summary

Beavercreek Post Acute is seeking a seasoned Business Office Manager to oversee billing, reimbursement, Medicaid/Medicare applications, and accounts receivable in a skilled nursing setting. You will partner with facility leadership to maintain accurate financial records, communicate with payors and families, perform bank reconciliations, and ensure compliant processes while working on-site full-time.

What You’ll Be Responsible ForThe Business Office Manager will oversee a variety of financial and reimbursement functions, including:Managing RFMS processes and requirementsCompleting and tracking Medicaid pending applicationsManaging private pay accounts receivableFollowing up on outstanding balances and performing collectionsMeeting with residents and families to explain:Medicare coverageMedicaid coverage and pending applicationsPrivate insurance coverageHospice coveragePrivate pay responsibilitiesChanges in coverage and financial responsibilityPreparing and managing NOMNCs (Notices of Medicare Non-Coverage) as requiredCompleting bank reconciliationsServing as backup for Accounts PayableMonitoring resident accounts and identifying issues requiring follow-upCommunicating with insurance companies, hospice providers, residents, responsible parties, and other payorsMaintaining accurate documentation and financial recordsPartnering with facility leadership and the interdisciplinary team regarding financial and coverage concernsAssisting residents and families through the Medicaid process and following applications through determinationHelping ensure business office processes meet company, payer, and regulatory requirementsPerforming additional business office responsibilities as neededWhat We’re Looking ForQualified candidates should have previous business office, billing, reimbursement, or accounts receivable experience in a skilled nursing or long-term care setting.Experience should include:RFMSPointClickCare (PCC)Medicaid pending applications and follow-upMedicare and Medicaid coveragePrivate insurance coverageHospice billing and coveragePrivate pay accounts receivableCollectionsNOMNC processesBank reconciliationAccounts Payable processesResident and family financial communicationThe Right Person for This RoleTechnical knowledge is important, but so is the ability to work with people.Residents and families are often trying to understand complicated insurance, Medicare, Medicaid, and payment requirements during an already stressful time.
