Job summary

RR Living in Houston is seeking an Experienced Business Manager to help manage the Ventura Lofts community. This full-time role focuses on rent collection, vendor coordination, and contract oversight while delivering outstanding resident experiences.

You will work with a team to monitor ledgers, prepare reports, handle evictions as needed, and maintain curb appeal and property operations. Strong communication, detail orientation, and familiarity with RealPage/Onesite are preferred.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years on-site Assistant Manager/Leasing Manager experience.
• Bilingual experience preferred.
• Must be able to work first weekend of month for Rent Collection and additional weekends/evenings as needed.
• Strong attention to detail is required.
• Previous Business Manager/Assistant Community Manager experience required.
• Good at reading and interpreting ledgers.
• RealPage/Onesite experience is required.
• Strong experience in resident retention and customer service.
• Experience with project-management focused teams.
• Microsoft Suite and Property Management Software preferred.
• Train to comply with Fair Housing laws.
• Present yourself neat, professional, and compliant with Handbook.

Responsibilities

• Prioritize tour path and maintain curb appeal; relay feedback to Maintenance/Community Manager.
• Ensure ledgers are complete and correct.
• Rent collection through evictions.
• Input new applicants, leases and renewals daily.
• Follow up on delinquency to bring balances to zero; handle resident issues.
• Mediate resident feedback and assist with retention activities.
• Schedule and track maintenance work orders and move-ins.

Responsibilities

• Assists with the management of Community Peronelle, Vendors and Contracts
• Provide a positive and genuine experience to all current and future residents
• Assists in the facilitation of monthly operations: compiling reports, monitors and head’s up rent collection efforts, make bank deposits, assists with eviction proceedings, reviews daily invoices and process as outlined by Manager.
• Use high level communication skills when dealing with current and future resident
• Prioritizes tour path and ensures curb appeal is up to par on property – Communicate any feedback to Maintenance team and Community Manager
• Ensures Ledgers are complete and correct
• Rent Collection process through evictions
• Assists with inputting new applicants and the screening process, inputs new leases and renewals daily
• Delinquency – follow up to make sure any unpaid balances are brought to $0Handles all resident issues and is able to convey information to Community Manager and Leadership Team.
• Strong ability to mediate and assess current and future resident feedback
• Assists with resident retention activities
• Scheduling and following up with progress of maintenance work orders and future move ins.

Requirements

• Position requires a minimum of 1-2 years of experience as an on-site Assistant Manager or Leasing Manager.
• Bilingual experience is preferred.
• Ability to work the first weekend of the month to assist with Rent Collection and additional weekends and evenings as needed
• Great attention to detail
• Proven experience as previous Business Manager or Assistant Community Manager is required.
• In depth knowledge reading and interpreting ledgers
• RealPage/Onesite experience is required.
• Strong experience in resident retention and customer service
• Experience working with teams focusing on project management.
• Competence in Microsoft Suite and Property Management Software strongly preferred.
• Participate in training to comply with new or existing Fair Housing laws.
• Present self in a neat, clean, and professional manner at all times
• Comply with expectations as demonstrated in the Employee Handbook.
