Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher with 8 years of related experience in finance, accounting, or program control.
  • Master’s degree with 6 years of related experience is acceptable.
  • Experience with Earned Value Management (EVM) and government budgeting/forecasting.
  • Understanding of DoD contracts, COSTAR/CA- data, FAR.
  • Prior people leadership experience and SAP proficiency.

Business Management Manager 2 – Advanced Weapons Systems Operating Unit

Northrop Grumman Defense Systems seeks a Business Management Manager 2 to support top‑tier financial performance within the Advanced Weapons Systems Operating Unit (OU). This position is based in Northridge, CA and will report to the Business Manager for the Advanced Weapons System program. The role requires an 9/80 schedule and no telework option.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead all aspects of program financial execution objectives.
  • Lead a team of Program Control Analysts in executing a broad scope of business management activities to support program execution and compliance.
  • Provide accurate and timely inputs to business systems supporting predictable financial forecasting and profitability determination.
  • Oversee key line forecasting, work authorization, implementation of EV reporting, program budgeting, estimates at completion development, and various financial reporting activities.
  • Lead Integrated Baseline Reviews (IBR), internal and external audits and other financial assurance engagements.
  • Develop business strategy and forecasting through internal or external deliverables such as the Long‑Range Strategic Plan and the Annual Operating Plan.
  • Prepare and review Estimates‑at‑Complete (EAC).
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Relocation, Clearance, and Travel

Relocation assistance may be available. This role requires a Secret clearance and U.S. citizenship. Travel is expected, approximately 10% of the time.

Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher with 8 years of industry‑related experience in finance, accounting, or program control, or a Master’s degree with 6 years of related experience.
  • Understanding of DoD contracts, government Cost Accounting Standards, and the FAR.
  • Experience with Earned Value Management (EVM).
  • Experience with government program budgeting and forecasting, including Annual Operating Plan development.
  • Prior people‑leadership experience.
  • Experience in proposal preparation, BOE preparation, and evaluations.
  • Experience with SAP.
  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Office suite.
  • Ability to travel domestically 10% of the time.
  • U.S. citizenship required.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Active U.S. Government Secret security clearance at time of application.
  • MBA or master’s degree in a business field.
  • Experience with EVM and financial forecasting systems (Cobra, S4/SAP, Hyperion, NGFP, Cognos).
  • Experience with U.S. Government customer communications and negotiations as a prime.
  • Experience with a financial forecasting system and earned‑value management system.
  • Experience reviewing Earned Value performance, bottoms‑up EAC, risk/opportunity/pressure analysis from multiple sources such as subcontractors or inter‑company partners.
  • Experience in Cost CDRL preparation.
Compensation and Benefits

Base salary range: $133,100.00 – $199,700.00 (subject to experience, education, skills, and market conditions). Eligible for overtime, shift differential, discretionary bonus, and potential Long‑Term Incentives. Benefits include health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, company‑paid holidays, and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and personal business.
