Amazon is seeking a candidate who is passionate about leveraging data to deliver actionable insights that will impact business decisions to improve customer experience within the Global Customer Service Concessions Team. The Global Concessions Team focuses on systematically identifying and eliminating defects leading to returns and egregious experiences for customers across different marketplaces. We do this through regional programs and working with resolver teams around the world.

Key job responsibilities
As a Business Intelligence Engineer (BIE) on the Amazon Stores Customer Service (CS) Concessions Team, you will be collaborating with a seasoned group of Data Engineers and other BIEs to build solutions that are accurate, reliable, and accessible.
As part of the BIE team, you will have an opportunity to participate and innovate across the BI landscape, starting from data ingestion, storage, processing, and automated self-serve reporting. You will partner closely with business, finance, and product teams from customer service, Operations teams, and stakeholders from Returns, as well as the Recommerce and Sustainability organization to understand their data needs and ensure business users are able to answer hard questions with real data. You will educate and train customers to self-serve data, present data in new forms, explore reporting options, and innovate. You will participate in business reviews and new initiatives. You should be able to identify and help close gaps in the information available, as well as predict up-and-coming data needs when participating in discussions about new products or features.
Your responsibilities will include:
- 3+ years of analyzing and interpreting data with Redshift, Oracle, NoSQL etc. experience
- Experience with data visualization using Tableau, Quicksight, or similar tools
- Experience with data modeling, warehousing and building ETL pipelines
- Experience in Statistical Analysis packages such as R, SAS and Matlab
- Experience using SQL to pull data from a database or data warehouse and scripting experience (Python) to process data for modeling
- Experience with AWS solutions such as EC2, DynamoDB, S3, and Redshift
- Experience in data mining, ETL, etc. and using databases in a business environment with large-scale, complex datasets
- Experience in building ML based automated solutions

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $89,600/year in our lowest geographic market up to $185,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
