Job summary

Navitus Health Solutions is seeking a Business Intelligence Developer to join our team. The role focuses on turning data into knowledge via data modeling and BI tooling across reporting platforms.

You will work with Tableau, QlikView/QlikSense, SAS, and Power BI, leveraging SQL, Python or R, and participate in data validation, user testing, and cross-functional collaboration in a remote-friendly environment.

Qualifications

• BA/BS in Business, Computer Science, Information Systems, Mathematics, or Statistics, or equivalent work experience.
• 1 year of Analytics, Data Modeling, or BI experience preferred.
• Experience with Tableau, Qlikview/QlikSense, SAS, Power BI or similar BI tools.
• Knowledge of SQL, Python or R is preferred.
• Understanding of data sources and database structures.
• Programming skills in SQL, R or Python.
• Excel or Google Sheets plus Tableau/Qlik/Power BI for data visuals.
• Adhere to compliance program objectives.
• Ability to interact cooperatively and respectfully with colleagues.

Responsibilities

• Use Qlikview, QlikSense, SSMS, Oracle SQL Developer and other tools to build reporting data models.
• Develop scripts to import data from multiple sources.
• Identify inter-department dependencies and downstream impacts of changes.
• Suggest alternative data solutions when applicable.
• Communicate with users to develop BI applications, validate effectiveness, and conduct testing.
• Adapt to changing reporting needs and new BI tools in a fast-growing org.
• Maintain data validation to ensure data integrity.
• Collaborate with teammates to deliver effective solutions.
• Foster relationships with business stakeholders and IT.
• Research and contribute to analytics process improvements.
• Identify opportunities to streamline analytics workflows.
• Other duties as assigned.

The Business Intelligence Developer will generate and maintain data and analytic solutions that turn data into knowledge. The Business Intelligence Developer should understand how to interpret databases, develop data models within business intelligence (BI) tools and provide maintenance on existing applications.

Responsibilities

How do I make an impact on my team?

• Use Qlikview, QlikSense, SQL Server Management Studio, Oracle SQL Developer, and other tools to create applications and data models for reporting needs.
• Develop reporting application scripts that import data from various sources.
• Identify inter-departmental dependencies and downstream impacts of changes within reporting applications.
• Recognize and suggest alternative data solutions when applicable.
• Communicate effectively and work closely with a variety of users to develop in BI applications, validate effectiveness, and conduct user testing.
• Adapt quickly to changing reporting requirements and new BI tools in a rapidly evolving, high-growth organization.
• Facilitate in ongoing data validation to ensure data integrity and reliability.
• Collaborate with other teammates to deliver effective solutions.
• Initiate collaborative relationships with business stakeholders and IT.
• Research, suggest, and contribute to brainstorming development opportunities.
• Identify and provide insights into streamlining analytics processes and research improvement opportunities.

Qualifications

What our team expects from you?

• BA/BS with focus on Business, Computer Science, Information Systems, Mathematics, or Statistics, or equivalent work experience, required.
• 1 year of experience in Analytics, Data Modeling, or Business Intelligence preferred.
• Experience with BI tools such as Tableau, Qlikview/QlikSense, SAS, Power B.I. or other Business Intelligence software and/or data visualization programs is required.
• Knowledge with additional data analytic tools such as SQL, Python or R is preferred.
• Knowledge of how to key data sources and databases structures.
• Technical skills including knowledge of programming languages such as SQL, R, or Python.
• Experience with spreadsheet tools such as Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets and Data visualization software such as Tableau, Qlik, or Power BI.
• Participate in, adhere to, and support compliance program objectives.
• The ability to consistently interact cooperatively and respectfully with other employees.
