Agtegra Cooperative is offering a Business Intelligence Developer Intern position in Aberdeen, SD for the summer of 2027. This internship provides hands-on work designing and maintaining BI reports, dashboards, and data pipelines within a real agricultural cooperative environment.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a degree in computer science, information systems, analytics, or a related field.
• Basic SQL, data warehousing, and ETL concepts.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and with a team.
• Familiarity with BI tools (Power BI) is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist in designing, developing and maintaining Power BI reports and dashboards.
• Collaborate with businessteams to understand reporting needs and translate them into technical specifications.
• Gain hands-on experience building and maintaining data pipelines and ETL processes that move and transform data across systems.
• Learn about data modeling principles and how they impact reporting and analytics.
• Document BI processes, data sources and report logic.
• Adheres to all safety regulations, requirements, policies and procedures, including OSHA regulations, the vehicle policy and fleet safety program, and DOT regulations.
• Other duties as assigned.

POSITION SUMMARY

As a Business Intelligence (BI) Developer Intern, you will gain hands‑on experience supporting the businesses at Agtegra by contributing to the development of BI solutions that enable data‑driven decision making and process efficiency. You’ll have an opportunity to contribute to impactful projects and build meaningful relationships.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Assist in designing, developing and maintaining Power BI reports and dashboards.
• Collaborate with businessteams to understand reporting needs and translate them into technical specifications.
• Gain hands‑on experience building and maintaining data pipelines and ETL processes that move and transform data across systems.
• Learn about data modeling principles and how they impact reporting and analytics.
• Document BI processes, data sources and report logic.
• Adheres to all safety regulations, requirements, policies and procedures, including OSHA regulations, the vehicle policy and fleet safety program, and DOT regulations.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Currently pursuing a degree in computer science, information systems, analytics, or a related field.
• Basic understanding of SQL, relational databases and data warehousing.
• Basic understanding of data pipelines and ETL processes.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively with a team.
• Familiarity with BI tools (e.g. Power BI) is a plus.
• Experience with Python is a plus.
• Must be eligible to work in the United States without visa sponsorship.
• Must be 18 years or older.
• Valid Driver's License.
