Job summary

Agility Partners is forming a new analytics team to modernize and rebuild a client reporting platform. The BI Engineer will design and deliver a modern, self-service portal that consolidates data into a single, accessible location for clients and internal stakeholders.

The role focuses on building intuitive, enterprise-scale Tableau dashboards and transforming complex datasets into actionable insights that drive business decisions within a hybrid work model (four days onsite in Columbus, OH).

Qualifications

  • Experience building enterprise Tableau dashboards.
  • Ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
  • Experience with Snowflake or similar cloud data warehouse.
  • Strong SQL skills including CTEs and window functions.
  • Excellent communication with leadership.
  • ETL tools or data integration experience is a plus.
  • Familiarity with semantic layer modeling is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Gather reporting requirements from stakeholders and translate into Tableau solutions.
  • Develop, maintain, and optimize Tableau dashboards from multiple sources.
  • Collaborate with Data Engineers on Snowflake and cloud data warehouse data.
  • Write and optimize SQL queries for dashboard datasets.
  • Present insights to business leaders with clarity and professionalism.
  • Contribute to semantic layer and data modernization initiatives.

Job description

Join a newly formed analytics team focused on modernizing and rebuilding a client reporting platform from the ground up. This role offers the opportunity to shape the future of client-facing analytics by designing and delivering a modern, self-service portal that consolidates data into a single, accessible location.

As a BI Engineer, you will be instrumental in building intuitive dashboards that empower both clients and internal stakeholders, transforming complex datasets into clear, actionable insights that drive business decisions.

Responsibilities
  • Collaborate directly with business stakeholders and partners to gather reporting requirements and translate them into scalable, user-friendly Tableau solution
  • Develop, maintain, and optimize interactive Tableau dashboards that consolidate data from multiple sources into a single comprehensive view
  • Partner closely with Data Engineers to leverage data stored in Snowflake and other cloud-based data warehouse platform
  • Write, maintain, and optimize SQL queries to support dashboard datasets while ensuring data accuracy and integrity
  • Present analytical insights and findings to business leaders with clarity and professionalism
  • Contribute to the development and evolution of a semantic layer that supports broader data modernization and AI-readiness initiative
The Ideal Candidate
  • Strong hands-on experience developing interactive, enterprise-scale dashboards in Tableau
  • Proven ability to gather requirements from non-technical business partners and translate technical information into actionable business insights
  • Exposure to Snowflake or other cloud-based data warehouse technology
  • Intermediate to advanced SQL skills, including experience with CTEs, window functions, and complex joins
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to engage leadership-level stakeholders
  • Experience with ETL tools or data integration processes is a plus
  • Familiarity with semantic layer modeling or dashboard enablement frameworks is a plus
