Job summary

The University of Chicago is seeking a Business Intelligence & Analytics Analyst to design, develop, and support data integration, data modeling, and BI solutions across academic, administrative, and clinical areas. You will build ETL processes, maintain data quality and security, optimize SQL, and support reports and dashboards using Power BI and Tableau.

A Bachelor's degree and 2–5 years in data engineering or analytics are preferred; salary is competitive and includes a comprehensive benefits

Responsibilities

Job Summary

The Business Intelligence & Analytics Analyst designs, develops, and supports data integration, data modeling, and business intelligence solutions that enable enterprise reporting and analytics. This role is responsible for building and maintaining ETL processes, database objects, and reporting data structures; ensuring data quality and security; and supporting BI applications and users across academic, administrative, and clinical areas.

Minimum Qualifications

Minimum requirements include a college or university degree in related field.

Minimum requirements include knowledge and skills developed through 2-5 years of work experience in a related job discipline.

Experience

Preferred Competencies

• Proficient in Microsoft SQL, business analytics and reporting tools such as Power BI and Tableau, and ETL tools such as Microsoft Integration Services.
• Familiar with data warehousing concepts, such as Kimballs' techniques regarding dimensional modeling.
• Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced and evolving environment.
• Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information in accordance with organizational privacy and security standards.
• Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
