Job summary

Mapfre is seeking a Business Intelligence Analyst I, Claims to join our hybrid on-site team in Webster, MA (or Boston). You will build impactful visualizations and reports for non-technical audiences, support ad hoc reporting, and work with SMEs to translate business requirements into high-quality deliverables.

The role emphasizes data extraction, validation, and manipulation to ensure accuracy, with collaboration across the Claims analytics team and stakeholders to drive data-informed decisions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in a related field, or equivalent experience.
• 2-4 years’ experience in analytics, reporting or data roles.
• Prior experience within Claims and Insurance environments strongly preferred.
• Proficiency in SQL for querying, data analysis and dataset development.
• Basic to intermediate Python skills required for analytics, automation or modeling tasks.

Responsibilities

• Creates more complex visualizations and/or reports tailored for consumption by a non-technical audience.
• Assists in developing and distributing ad hoc reporting.
• Provides support in meetings to translate business needs into clearly defined, well-documented, high-quality requirements to support reporting and visualization projects.
• Demonstrates a basic-to-intermediate understanding of the fundamentals of data extraction, validation, and manipulation.
• Supports colleagues with a variety of tasks and projects to meet deadlines.
• Collaborates with subject matter experts to effectively provide meaningful and valuable data to assist in executive decision-making.
• Exercises discretion and applies critical thinking relative to analysis, planning, and/or implementation of critical business initiatives.

Pay Transparency

The typical starting salary range for this role is determined by several factors including skills, experience, education, certifications, and location. Some roles at Mapfre are eligible for commission and/or bonus earnings, in addition to salary, calculated based upon factors set forth in the compensation plan for the role.

Salary Range: $ 77,700 - $ 110,900
