Fox Communities Credit Union in Appleton, WI, seeks a full-time Business Intelligence Analyst to design and deliver trusted BI reports and dashboards. The role requires collaboration across departments to turn data into actionable insights and to maintain data models and warehousing components.

You will ensure data accuracy to support leadership decisions and help shape strategic initiatives. The ideal candidate has strong Power BI, SQL, and analytics skills and a customer-focused mindset.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business, CS, or data science; MBA a plus.
• Experience with Power BI and DAX required.
• Strong SQL knowledge.
• Experience with Oracle, SQL Server, or Databricks preferred.
• Proficiency with Excel and data visualization.
• Excellent analytical and communication skills.

BUSINESS INTELLIGENCE ANALYST

About this position

We currently have a career opportunity for a full-time Business Intelligence Analyst based out of our corporate office (Enterprise) in Appleton! After initial onboarding onsite, this position could have the opportunity for hybrid (3+ days onsite/week, 2 remote) work consideration. However, candidates must reside in Wisconsin to be considered.

The Business Intelligence Analyst position collaborates with all other departments of Fox Communities, providing valuable reporting and analysis to support strategic initiatives and help determine the future direction of the credit union. This type of analyst is a subject matter expert and developer using BI tools for data visualization, data warehousing, and statistical analysis to derive insights. The Business Intelligence Analyst will work with data generated by a variety of credit union systems to create, validate, and generate business reports that management will use in decision making.

Primary responsibilities

The primary responsibilities of the Business Intelligence Analyst role include but are not limited to:

• Promoting and upholding the Fox Purpose, Mission, Vision, and Values
• Building, developing, publishing and maintaining data models, reports and apps for Power BI and other visualization tools
• Assisting in development and management of Business Intelligence solutions including the data warehouse, SQL databases and data automation applications
• Providing expert knowledge of operational database tables sourced for the data warehouse
• Providing reports and analysis using data combined from multiple systems to uncover trends, patterns, similarities and develop key insights
• Preparing dashboards and reports for the Board of Directors and Senior Management
• Ensuring data accuracy through validation, documentation, and quality-related activities
• Analyzing data for anomalies, accuracy, and applicability to business unit requests
• Analyzing available secondary sources to provide ongoing presentations, summaries, or alerts of emerging changes in demographics, products, economics, competition, and governmental and consumer trends that have material impact on market share and performance
• Responding to day-to-day custom requests for data and reports

Candidate requirements

Candidates for the Business Intelligence Analyst position should possess:

• Bachelor’s degree with a background in business, computer science, or data science preferred; MBA a plus. Experience will be considered in lieu of education
• Experience working with Power BI and DAX required
• Working knowledge of SQL required
• Experience with Oracle, SQL Server and/or Databricks databases preferred
• Experience with Microsoft Fabric a plus
• Experience with R, Python, and other programming experience a plus
• Experience managing large amounts of data from various sources
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with an ability to interact with all levels of end users and technical resources
• Ability to present insights and data-related concepts in a clear manner verbally and in written or graphic form
• Open and collaborative style, comfortable working in an environment where ideas are shared and challenged
• Intermediate or advanced skill level with Microsoft Excel
• Self-motivated, with the ability to react to change, feedback, and critique quickly and positively
• Ability to conceptualize and implement things in a changing environment
• Attention to detail with the ability to maintain focus on the overall picture
• Ability to participate on project teams in an effective manner and also work independently
