The Hill, a division of Nexstar Media Group, is seeking a Business Editor to join our newsroom. The successful applicant will oversee The Hill’s business and policy coverage, working closely with reporters who handle stories on taxes, finance, technology, health care and other issues. They will be responsible for our business section that appears in the print version of The Hill, and will play a large role in our annual top lobbyists lists. On a daily basis, they will work with other reporters and editors to generate ideas and craft and refine non-partisan stories and newsletters, with a focus on business and politics. The position is based at our Washington, D.C., offices and is full-time. We’re looking for someone with a hard work ethic, good time-management skills and the ability to write and edit headlines and copy that sizzle. The ideal applicant has a strong background in reporting or editing at a national media company, a high metabolism for rapidly changing news, a deep interest in how The Hill can stand out and agility to quickly switch between various tasks.

Salary Range: $75,000.00 - $79,000.00 based upon experience
