Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking an organized Sales Support Specialist to help grow new business and deliver top-tier client service in Seattle. You will partner with Producers and Practice Leaders to identify prospects, coordinate outreach, support proposal development, and advance opportunities through the sales pipeline.

The role involves maintaining accurate client records, onboarding coordination, and research across targeted industries.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma required; college degree preferred.
  • Must have strong interpersonal skills to handle sensitive situations.
  • General knowledge of Employee Benefits products, services, terminology, and sales process is helpful.
  • Strong business development, sales support, research, and organizational skills.
  • Experience with CRM, agency management systems, proposal platforms, and internal tools is beneficial.
  • Ability to coordinate administrative client service activities and maintain accurate records.
  • Excellent time management and ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Support new business growth while providing client service support.
  • Coordinate outreach, support proposal development, and move opportunities through the sales pipeline.
  • Maintain accurate client information, onboarding, renewal coordination, and documentation.
  • Assist with prospective client opportunities research across targeted industries, markets, and regions.
  • Maintain CRM and internal systems with prospect, pipeline, and opportunity data.
  • Prepare sales materials, presentations, proposals, briefs, and follow-up correspondence for prospects.
  • Support development of RFP responses and other business development resources.
  • Coordinate meetings and follow-up items to support timely sales activity.
  • Provide admin support for producer-led seminars, webinars, and events.
  • Track seminar/webinar participation and post-event follow-up.

Job description

Responsibilities
  • Support new business growth while also providing client service support
  • Partner with Producers and Practice Leaders to identify prospects, coordinate outreach, support proposal development, and help move opportunities through the sales pipeline
  • Maintain accurate client information, assist with onboarding and renewal-related coordination, organize documentation, and track service deliverables
  • Assist Producers and Practice Leaders with identifying, researching, and organizing prospective client opportunities within targeted industries, markets, and regions
  • Maintain accurate prospect, pipeline, and opportunity information in CRM and other internal systems
  • Prepare and coordinate sales materials, presentations, proposals, pre-meeting briefs, and follow-up correspondence for prospective clients
  • Support the development of Request for Proposal (RFP) responses, finalist meeting materials, stewardship examples, and other business development resources
  • Coordinate internal meetings, prospect meetings, and related follow-up items to support timely sales activity
  • Provide administrative support for producer-led seminars, webinars, and educational events
  • Assist with tracking seminar and webinar participation, documenting prospect engagement, and coordinating post-event follow-up
  • Track key business development activities, deadlines, and next steps
  • Assist with market, industry, and competitor research to support prospecting strategy and client-facing discussions
  • Provide responsive support to Producers, leaders, and team members
  • Coordinate administrative aspects of new client onboarding
  • Assist with preparation, organization, and maintenance of client files and other service-related records as needed
  • Support the service team with scheduling, agendas, follow-up notes, deliverable tracking, and communication related to client service meetings and workflows
  • Enter, update, and maintain accurate client information in CRM and other internal systems
  • Support regional growth initiatives, cross-sell opportunities, referral tracking, and other sales enablement projects as assigned
Requirements
  • High school diploma required; college degree preferred
  • Must have a high level of interpersonal skills to handle sensitive and confidential situations
  • General knowledge of Employee Benefits products, services, terminology, and sales process
  • Strong business development, sales support, research, and organizational skills
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office programs, including Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Teams, and Excel
  • Ability to learn and effectively use CRM, agency management systems, proposal platforms, and other internal technology tools
  • Ability to coordinate administrative client service activities, maintain accurate records, and support timely communication between service teams, carriers, vendors, and clients
  • Strong attention to detail, follow-through, and time management abilities
  • Strong ability to multi-task, prioritize work, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to work effectively and efficiently both with and without direct supervision
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills, both written and oral
  • Customer service-oriented approach with the ability to build rapport and maintain professional relationships
