Ladders, a leader in the Finance & Insurance space, is seeking a Business Development Officer - Capital Finance to originate and structure credit transactions while building referral-source relationships. This role collaborates with sales, underwriting, and credit approval teams to support client funding and drive growth.

The position requires regular coordination with executive leadership to ensure transactions align with policy and risk parameters. Remote work for US-based candidates only.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
• 3 years of credit experience in banking, finance, or asset-based lending.
• 3 years of sales experience.
• Ability to interpret financial documents.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong analytical and organizational skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word.

Responsibilities

• Originate loans in line with credit policy.
• Negotiate transaction pricing and structures within approved limits.
• Review and approve transactions before reporting to executive leadership.
• Initiate and maintain relationships with referral sources.
• Assist in the underwriting process from prospecting through client funding.
• Seek executive leadership approval for new client transactions.
• Market to current and potential referral sources.
• Visit prospective clients and prepare required reports.
• Attend regularly scheduled meetings.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

For our client, we are seeking a Business Development Officer - Capital Finance to join the team of a leader in the Finance & Insurance space.

This role focuses on originating and structuring credit transactions while building and maintaining referral-source relationships.

You will work across sales, underwriting, and credit approval processes to support new client funding and drive business growth.

The position also requires regular collaboration with executive leadership to ensure transactions align with policy and risk parameters.

Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available

Compensation: $176,796 – $260,029 annually
