Job summary

KLA in Milpitas, CA is seeking a Business Development Owner for Metrology to shape pricing, packaging and market strategy across regions. You will partner with division leadership, product marketing, engineering and regional BD teams to drive bookings and revenue.

You'll translate market insights into commercial plans, forecast accurately, and guide manufacturing and finance on delivery and engagement scenarios while building strong executive relationships globally.

Qualifications

• Master's or PhD required in Engineering, Physics, Materials Science, Business, or related field.
• 8+ years of experience in semiconductor capital equipment.
• Experience in metrology, inspection or process control equipment is required.
• Experience in business development, product life cycle, product marketing, or technical sales.
• Strong executive communication, business planning, and commercial leadership abilities.

• Deeply understand customer and competitor intelligence; align product positioning and pricing with leadership and product marketing.
• Optimize the value pitch and pricing strategy for strategic customers and regions.
• Develop the product commercial and bundle/VPA strategy with regional BD owners and BU account managers.
• Provide periodic market map analysis to division stakeholders and help set business objectives and engagement strategy.
• Forecast based on industry changes, product intensity and growth strategy; guide manufacturing and finance on delivery plans and scenarios.

This role combines industry market insight, product positioning and commercial strategy to penetrate new technology, increase the product adoption, expand market share, and maximize the divisional revenue & margin.
