Job summary

Thomson Power Systems, a Regal Rexnord company, is seeking a Business Development Manager for the Data Centers vertical in a 100% remote role. You will report to the Director, Business Development, Data Centers, and drive the go-to-market strategy across the United States.

This hands-on position offers an excellent opportunity to lead strategic initiatives, develop channel partnerships, and sell mission-critical electrical infrastructure solutions to end users.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years of outside sales experience selling electrical infrastructure solutions to data center end users.
  • Proven success achieving sizable quota.
  • Experience selling engineered‑to‑order electrical products (switchgear, MV equipment, transformers, modular power systems, ePODs, ATS) to end users.
  • Established relationships with hyperscale, colocation, EPC, consulting engineering, and contractor stakeholders involved in data center power infrastructure decisions.
  • Willingness to travel up to 50% to customer sites.
  • Valid driver’s license.
  • Eligible to work in the United States without sponsorship.

  • Independently develop and grow your vertical across the United States.
  • Lead the go-to-market plan for the Data Centers vertical with support from the commercial leadership team.
  • Collaborate with commercial leadership and dedicated estimating, project management, and service execution teams.
  • Deliver integrated product and service solutions that foster lifecycle relationships with end users, integrators, and contractors.
  • Establish Thomson Power Systems' brand presence in the Data Centers vertical.
  • Build and maintain key stakeholder relationships and expand the direct customer base.

Key Responsibilities
  • Independently develop and grow your vertical across the United States.
  • Lead the creation and execution of a comprehensive go‑to‑market plan with support from the commercial leadership team.

Required Education, Experience and Skills
  • Minimum 5 years of outside sales experience selling electrical infrastructure solutions to the end users in the Data Centre market.
  • Demonstrated success achieving sizable quota.
  • Experience selling complex engineered‑to‑order electrical products such as switchgear, medium voltage equipment, transformers, modular power systems, ePODs, ATS, or related critical power solutions to the end users.
  • Established relationships with hyperscale, colocation, EPC, consulting engineering, and contractor stakeholders involved in data center power infrastructure decisions.
  • Willingness to travel regularly to customer sites (up to 50% travel time) within your region.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Candidates must be eligible to work in the United States without requiring company sponsorship to obtain or keep U.S. work authorization.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in the Power Management industry.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, or Electrical Engineering, or Power Engineering.
  • Proficiency with Salesforce CRM.
  • Demonstrated ability to be hands‑on, resourceful, and results‑oriented with a continuous improvement mindset.
  • Reputation among peers as ambitious, energetic, self‑sufficient, and highly motivated.
  • Exceptional sales abilities with strong closing skills.
  • Customer‑focused approach with a commitment to ensuring customer success.
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills.
  • Ability to build value‑based relationships at all levels within customer organizations and Regal Rexnord.
Compensation Package to Include
  • Target Base Salary Range: $135k - $170k per year
  • Target Bonus of 30% (potential 60% when exceeding targets)
  • Car Allowance
  • Uncapped Commission Component

The salary range provided is intended to display the value of the company's base pay compensation for all statewide locations across the United States. Salary is dependent on a multitude of factors, including but not limited to the physical worksite location, candidate's skill set, level of experience, education and internal peer compensation comparisons.
