BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT MANAGER

Our Client is a subsidiary of an international technology provider in the field of refining, petrochemicals, gas processing, and alternative fuels in charge of North America (Canada, USA, Mexico) as well as Colombia and the Caribbean.

Their activities include technology licensing, process engineering, sales, and manufacturing of catalysts and absorbents along with the associated services for these activities (technical assistance, supply chain).

Our Client is a recognized world leader in these fields and especially in the production of clean transportation fuels. Backed by world-class R&D, they have experienced significant growth in North America with several offices and manufacturing plants.

JOB SUMMARY

The Business Development Manager will work within the Technology and Process Licensing Department. This position will be part of a team of technology experts, technologists, and technical service engineers that will contribute towards meeting common business development goals and objectives.

QUALIFICATIONS

  1. Requires a B.S. degree in Chemical Engineering
  2. Minimum of 10 – 15 years of experience in the Petroleum Refining Industry
  3. Strong established network of contacts in this industry is a plus

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

The activities of this position include market analysis, strategic planning, prospecting for new clients, developing and issuing proposals, contract negotiation, and leading the marketing and licensing of technologies to customers in North America.

The Business Development Manager serves as the primary commercial interface with clients in technology licensing and must develop professional relationships to further that goal, including participation at conferences and industry meetings to raise industry awareness of the Client’s capabilities and to develop new business opportunities.
