Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute growth strategies to achieve revenue and profitability targets.
  • Identify target accounts and develop account penetration strategies to increase wallet share and strategic positioning.
  • Assist sales teams with opportunity qualification, application assessments, and strategic account development.
  • Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify emerging trends and opportunities.
  • Collaborate with sales, marketing, and engineering teams to develop customer focused solutions.
  • Serve as the technical authority for assigned products, materials, and target applications.
  • Define product strategy, positioning, and roadmap aligned with company and market objectives.
  • Track and report KPIs including revenue growth, new customer acquisition, quoting activity, pipeline development, product adoption, and profitability improvements.
  • Support the development and launch of new products, including end mills, drills, reamers, burrs, routers, and specialty round tools
  • Deliver technical training and knowledge transfer to customers and internal teams
  • Participate in industry trade shows, technical conferences, customer events, and professional organizations to increase market visibility and generate new opportunities

Job Title: Business Development Manager- Solid Carbide Round Tools

Job Summary:

The Business Development Manager- Solid Carbide Round Tools is responsible for identifying, developing, and executing growth opportunities that expand the company's market presence, increase revenue, and strengthen customer relationships. This role collaborates closely with sales, marketing, engineering, and operations teams to drive sustainable business growth, develop strategic partnerships, and capture new market opportunities.

The Business Development Manager analyzes market trends, customer needs, and competitive activities to develop strategies that align with the organization's business objectives. In addition, this role serves as the voice of the customer, ensuring products are developed, positioned, launched, and supported based on validated market needs, competitive benchmarking, application performance data, and customer feedback.

Duties/Responsibilities:

Education and Experience:

Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as mechanical or manufacturing engineering

Proven experience (5 years) in manufacturing

Advanced application knowledge and experience in metal cutting

Desired CAD/CAM- AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Siemens NX and/or Mastercam

Analytical and problem-solving skills of basic manufacturing processes

Strong organizational and project management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with diverse teams and stakeholders

Physical Requirements:

Light work that includes moving objects up to 20 pounds at a time

Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer

Ability to drive or fly to all facilities

Other Information

Travel is required (desired 40%), domestic and international
