Morgan Stanley’s Wealth Management National Sales team seeks a Business Development Manager to drive revenue growth in designated markets, coach Financial Advisors, and coordinate initiatives across local and national priorities. The role is based in Charlotte, NC or Raleigh, NC.

You will leverage deep product knowledge and partner resources to advance practice management, training, and client engagement, in support of Morgan Stanley’s goals and client-first culture.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5 years in Wealth Management or related product area with solid production/compliance history.
  • Bachelor’s Degree required.
  • Active Series 7 and 66 (or 63/65) required by hire or within 120 days.
  • Strong oral and written communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to develop and execute strategic plans and train Financial Advisors.

Responsibilities

  • Position major product capabilities to client needs and refer inquiries to internal partners when needed.
  • Develop strategic and tactical plans to drive revenue growth in the market.
  • Coach and train Financial Advisors to grow practices and adopt new tools.
  • Collaborate with Product Partners to roll out initiatives to branches and complexes.
  • Lead desk-to-desk rollout of key initiatives and conduct deep-dive reviews.

This role will be based in either our Charlotte, NC or Raleigh, NC branch locations.Key Responsibilities:Working knowledge of the Firm’s entire suite of products and toolsAbility to accurately and effectively position each of the major product capabilities against suitable client need and, where necessary, refer Financial Advisor inquiry to the right internal partnerDeeper specific knowledge of platforms / tools supporting the key National initiatives and the specific Regional prioritiesAbility to develop strategic and tactical business plans to drive positive resultsAbility to continuously grow and develop Financial Advisors practices through training, education, and one on one conversationEffectively engage with Product Partners across the Firm to ensure your Financial Advisors have the proper training and knowledge of both existing and new tools and resourcesDelivery of initiatives to the Branch / Complex office and Financial Advisor in a variety of methodsDesk-to-desk rollout of key initiativesDeep dive book reviews and segmentationTactical campaignsProcurement and facilitation of outside resourcesKnowledge and Skills Required:A minimum of 5 years of experience in Wealth Management, as a Financial Advisor (with satisfactory production and compliance record), or comparable product area or management experience.Bachelor’s Degree requiredActive Series 7, and 66 (or 63 and 65) required upon hire or within 120 days of hire dateStrong oral and written communication skillsOutstanding interpersonal skills and demonstratable ability to establish alignment between the expectations and strategies of different stakeholdersStrong and creative problem-solving skillsConfident, flexible, and resilient team playerAdapts style to build relationships across all levelsAbility to autonomously develop, deliver, and execute on strategic plansWHAT YOU CAN EXPECT FROM MORGAN STANLEY:At Morgan Stanley, we raise, manage and allocate capital for our clients – helping them reach their goals.
