Job summary

Ingram Micro is seeking a strategic and results-driven Business Development Executive to drive revenue growth across Federal, State, Local Government, Education (SLED), and Healthcare partner ecosystems. You will build and expand partner engagement with resellers and solution providers while aligning technology solutions with customer needs.

The role requires strong channel sales expertise, relationship-building, and the ability to influence stakeholders across a complex partner network.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience in business development, channel sales, partner management, account management, or technology sales.
  • Experience in IT channel ecosystem including vendors, distributors, resellers, or solution providers.
  • Knowledge of public sector procurement environments (Federal, State, Local Govt, Education, Healthcare).

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute business development strategies to drive revenue growth in Federal, SLED, and Healthcare partner accounts.
  • Build and maintain relationships with reseller partners, solution providers, and vendor stakeholders.
  • Identify new opportunities, whitespace accounts, and growth areas within partner portfolios.
  • Leverage data to uncover trends, optimize partner performance, and prioritize opportunities.
  • Enable partners on technology solutions, programs, incentives, and GTM strategies to accelerate adoption.
  • Collaborate with vendor reps and internal teams to build pipeline and close opportunities.
  • Conduct regular business reviews with partner leadership to assess performance and align priorities.
  • Support partners in positioning technology solutions to address business challenges.
  • Coordinate with sales, marketing, operations, finance for campaigns and growth initiatives.
  • Provide market intelligence and customer feedback to inform growth strategies.
  • Maintain accurate pipeline management and forecasting while pursuing revenue targets.
  • Travel as needed to build partner relationships and attend industry events.

Summary

We are seeking a strategic and results-driven Business Development Executive to support growth across Federal, State, Local Government, Education (SLED), and/or Healthcare reseller and solution provider partners. This individual will be responsible for driving revenue growth, expanding partner engagement, increasing adoption of technology solutions, and advancing strategic public sector initiatives for leading technology vendors such as AWS, Microsoft, Dell, HPE, Palo Alto Networks, Fortinet, Rubrik, Arctic Wolf, Eaton, AMD, and others.

The ideal candidate combines strong channel sales expertise with a deep understanding of the public sector technology landscape. This role will work closely with partners, vendors, sales teams, and cross-functional stakeholders to identify growth opportunities, execute go‑to‑market initiatives, and align technology solutions with customer needs.

Success in this role requires strong relationship‑building skills, business acumen, analytical thinking, and the ability to influence stakeholders across a complex partner ecosystem.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute business development strategies that drive revenue growth and market expansion within Federal, SLED, and/or Healthcare‑focused partner accounts.
  • Build and maintain trusted relationships with reseller partners, solution providers, and vendor stakeholders.
  • Identify new business opportunities, whitespace accounts, and growth areas within existing partner portfolios.
  • Leverage sales, performance, and market data to uncover trends, optimize partner performance, and prioritize opportunities.
  • Enable partners on technology solutions, programs, incentives, and go‑to‑market strategies to accelerate customer adoption.
  • Collaborate with vendor representatives and internal sales teams to develop pipeline, execute growth plans, and close opportunities.
  • Conduct regular business reviews with partner leadership to assess performance, align priorities, and identify growth initiatives.
  • Support partners in positioning technology solutions that address customer business challenges and strategic objectives.
  • Partner with sales, marketing, operations, finance, and other cross‑functional teams to execute campaigns and business development initiatives.
  • Provide market intelligence, competitive insights, and customer feedback to inform growth strategies.
  • Maintain accurate pipeline management, forecasting, and reporting while consistently working toward revenue targets.
  • Travel as needed to build partner relationships, participate in customer meetings, attend industry events, and support business growth activities.
Required Skills & Qualifications
  • 3+ years of experience in business development, channel sales, partner management, account management, or technology sales.
  • Experience working within the IT channel ecosystem, including technology vendors, distributors, resellers, or solution providers.
  • Knowledge of public sector procurement environments, including Federal, State, Local Government, Education, and/or Healthcare markets.
  • Proven ability to develop partner relationships and drive measurable business growth.
  • Strong consultative selling and account planning skills.
  • Experience managing multiple priorities and executing within a fast‑paced, matrixed organization.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and identify revenue opportunities.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including presentation and executive‑level relationship management.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence stakeholders across sales, marketing, operations, and external partner organizations.
  • Self‑motivated, highly organized, and results‑oriented with a strong sense of ownership and accountability.
  • Proficiency with CRM systems, sales reporting tools, and Microsoft Office applications.
Preferred Skills & Qualifications
  • Experience supporting public sector technology customers, partners, or vendors.
  • Familiarity with cloud, cybersecurity, data and AI, networking, collaboration, infrastructure, or modern workplace technologies.
  • Experience working with technology partner programs, channel incentives, and partner enablement initiatives.
  • Understanding of government purchasing vehicles, contracts, purchasing cooperatives, and public sector procurement processes.
  • Experience conducting executive business reviews, forecasting, and pipeline management.
  • Knowledge of channel sales motions, indirect routes to market, and partner‑led go‑to‑market strategies.
  • Experience collaborating with technology vendors and managing strategic vendor relationships.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Technology, or a related field preferred.

The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $58,000.00 - $98,600.00 per year.

The ranges above reflect the potential annual base pay across the U.S. for all roles; the applicable base pay range will depend on the candidate’s primary work location, pay grade, and variable compensation plan. Individual base pay within each range depends on various factors, in addition to primary work location, such as complexity and responsibility of role, job duties/requirements, and relevant experience and skills. Base pay ranges are reviewed and typically updated each year. Offers are made within the base pay range applicable at the time of hire. New hires starting base pay generally falls in the bottom half (between the minimum and midpoint) of a pay range.
