Position Summary:

The Business Development Director for Hill & Smith Highway Attenuators will lead the growth strategy for our roadside safety product line, focusing on increasing revenue and profitability through strategic planning, market development, and partnerships. Responsibilities include expanding existing accounts, securing new business, and entering emerging markets. The role involves developing strong relationships with customers such as state DOTs, contractors, and distributors, managing product approvals, and providing technical support to sales teams and clients.

The Director will also design and deliver training to enhance internal knowledge and sales capabilities, stay ahead of market trends, and ensure product offerings align with strategic goals. Recognized as an industry expert, the Director will serve as a trusted advisor, driving industry innovation and advocacy.

Key Responsibilities:

  • New Business Development: Pursue opportunities for deploying attenuators in various applications.
  • Consultative Selling: Provide technical guidance and understand customer project needs.
  • Strategic Planning: Develop and implement growth strategies.
  • Customer Relationships: Build relationships with decision-makers in transportation and construction sectors.
  • Technical Expertise: Maintain current industry knowledge, manage product approvals, and support sales teams.
  • Training & Education: Conduct product demonstrations and training sessions.

Qualifications:
