About the client

My client is a Digital Health SaaS scale-up organization that supports health systems in identifying the best solutions for their patients to ensure healthcare is affordable.

Role overview

The Director of Sales will build and oversee a portfolio of accounts, ensuring high levels of client satisfaction and retention while actively pursuing and securing new business opportunities.

Market focus

You will be building out a new market within a scale-up organization that has experienced success with this niche product. The target market includes pharmaceutical companies, specifically their marketing and commercial teams.

Territorial responsibilities

You will oversee the Eastern Territory, collaborating with a colleague managing the Western Territory, who has been successful for 5 years.

Responsibilities
  1. Oversee the complete sales cycle, from lead generation to deal closure and account management.
  2. Identify and cultivate new sales opportunities through networking and relationship-building, leveraging your understanding of pharma, market access, and patient services.
  3. Negotiate agreements and maintain detailed sales records.
  4. Collaborate with executives to align on client project objectives and track progress.
  5. Provide professional, exceptional after-sales support to enhance customer loyalty.
  6. Target pharmaceutical organizations proactively and commercially.
Requirements
  1. 7+ years of experience in a senior sales role within the pharmaceutical sector, with specific experience selling into marketing, market access, patient services, or commercial areas.
  2. Existing network within Pharma's Marketing, Branding, Market Access, or Sales teams.
  3. Experience selling digital or advertising solutions on B2B/SaaS platforms.
  4. Proven ability to build and scale new markets or verticals.
  5. Ability to develop cold leads, build pipelines, and close deals virtually or face-to-face.
  6. Enthusiastic, resilient, with a positive attitude and perseverance.
  7. Willing to travel 30-50% of the time.
  8. Ability to work remotely, likely covering the Midwest (CST or EST preferred).
