Job summary

Vaco LLC in the United States seeks a Business Development, Client Services professional with a background in accounting or finance. You will grow senior-level relationships, drive opportunities, and coordinate with a top recruitment team on interim and project-based engagements across audit, FP&A, M&A, taxation, and software implementations.

The role rewards a base salary with uncapped commissions and a comprehensive benefits package, plus ongoing training and annual incentive trips.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree required. CPA, CFA, MBA or related designation highly preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in accounting/financial consulting and/or audit.
  • Public Accounting and/or Big Four experience highly preferred.

  • Grow and develop strong relationships with senior accounting & financial leaders.
  • Connect with area business leaders by phone, email, in-person meetings, and professional networking events.
  • Work with an elite recruitment team to fulfill special projects and interim positions in audit, financial reporting, FP&A, M&A, taxation, software implementations, and more.
  • Keep a regular pulse on the market as it relates to businesses and hiring trends. (e.g., Expansions, mergers/acquisitions, dissolutions, relocations, new businesses entering the market, etc.…)
  • Actively develop and maintain a target client list.
  • Manage open client opportunities from intake to fulfillment.
  • Provide high level oversight on existing engagements.
  • Manage your daily and weekly schedule and activities in alignment with productivity goals.

A Day in the Life

Your CFO client just called. Her accounting department could use help prepping for an upcoming audit. Or maybe she needs a Technical Accountant to assist with an IPO. In this role it is up to you, in partnership with your delivery team, to present the right solution and consulting team at the right time. This critical position is responsible for promoting Vaco to the business community for strategic projects in the CFO organization, including areas of expertise such as accounting, finance, tax, audit, and more.

Determining compensation for this role (and others) at Vaco/Highspring depends upon a wide array of factors including but not limited to the individual’s skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, office location and other geographic considerations, as well as other business and organizational needs. With that said, as required by local law in geographies that require salary range disclosure, Vaco/Highspring notes the salary range for the role is noted in this job posting. An applicant may also be eligible to participate in certain incentive compensation programs based on achieving certain performance targets set forth each year and subject to the incentive compensation plan’s terms and conditions.The individual may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses, and can participate in medical, dental, and vision benefits as well as the company’s 401(k) retirement plan.

Salary Range for this role:

$60,000 - $90,000 USD
