Job summary

Clēnera, LLC, a Boise-based developer and independent power producer, is seeking a Business Development Analyst to support origination of utility-scale solar and storage opportunities. You will perform analyses for PPA negotiations, assist site sourcing per land acquisition strategy, respond to RFPs, and monitor market trends while collaborating cross-functionally.

The role emphasizes timely delivery and clear communication in line with Clēnera values.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, economics, or related field.
• Ability to work with Excel, Power BI, or Tableau to analyze financial models and performance metrics.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Experience or understanding of energy markets is a plus.

ABOUT THE ROLE

The Business Development Analyst is responsible for supporting the Business Development team in the origination of utility-scale solar and storage opportunities.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

• Perform accurate analyses to assist with PPA negotiations and other utility transactions.
• Support the sourcing efforts for new project sites based on the Clēnera land acquisition strategy and development approach.
• Collaborate with others to support the preparation responses to Requests for Proposals.
• Research and interpret market rules and regulations, while also keeping up to date on solar and energy storage market trends.
• Collaborate with individual department, as well as cross-functionally with other departments within the organization.
• Maintain organizational excellence in terms of project timelines and deliverables.
• Demonstrates the Clēnera Core Values of Caring, Committed, and Courageous.
• Other duties as assigned.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, economics, or related field.
• Technology: Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, and an ability to learn company-specific software programs, tools, processes, and machines.
• Skills/Attributes:
  • Ability to work with tools like Excel, Power BI, or Tableau to analyze financial models, and performance metrics.
  • Understanding of energy pricing models, regulatory frameworks, and forecasting techniques using tools like Python or R for quantitative analysis.
  • Able to convey ideas clearly and listen actively to foster understanding and collaboration.
  • Quickly adjusts to evolving priorities and organizational needs while maintaining focus on outcomes.
