Job summary

Truist is seeking a data reporting specialist to produce and optimize dashboards and reports from databases and data assets to inform business leaders. You will ensure data integrity, tailor reports to business requests, and drive end-to-end data processes with automation and efficiency improvements.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree with 2–5 years of related experience, strong ability to interpret complex information for diverse audiences, and the capacity to lead small projects and mentor

Job Description:

Produces reports or package of reports utilizing databases, data assets, applications and more to provide information to business leaders. Reports may be in the form of standardized dashboards or customized views of data upon request. Ensures data pulled is consistent with business needs/requests. Applies knowledge of the business to customize reports and deliver meaningful information. Reviews reports to identify data integrity issues and provides feedback to application/database administrators to ensure any issues are addressed. Answers questions from end-users of reports to provide additional context. Reporting may be focused on regulatory matters, operational metrics, and productivity metrics. Produces reports utilizing databases and applications to provide information to business leaders. Reports may be in the form of standardized dashboards or customized views of data upon request. Applies a comprehensive understanding of end-to-end data processes/flows and concepts to implement frameworks, processes, controls, models, and solutions to ensure data is effectively managed across the organization or within a specific business unit. Drive automation & process optimization with focus on process efficiency and effectiveness.

Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree and 2-5 years of related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • In-depth knowledge of principles, practices, theories, and/or methodologies associated with the professional discipline (e.g., information technology, project management, finance, risk management, etc.).
  • Focus on process automation to improve efficiency
  • Understands foundational concepts of other related professional disciplines.
  • Experience managing small-mid size projects with some complexity.
  • Knowledge of the industry's competitive landscape and the factors that differentiate Truist and its competitors in the market.
  • Ability to interpret and explain complex information to a range of audiences and build consensus among different stakeholders.
  • Ability to provide direction and mentor less experienced teammates.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Master's degree or MBA and 6 years of related experience. Previous experience in the banking industry.
