Job summary

Integrated Data Services (IDS) is seeking a Data Analytics Specialist to support government customers. You will perform data extraction, cleansing, analysis, visualization, and storytelling with DoD data sources.

You will work closely with senior leadership to deliver actionable insights and robust dashboards. The role requires hands-on experience with Qlik Sense, Power BI or Tableau, and DoW/DAF systems, plus excellent communication and collaboration skills in a dynamic, security-conscious

Qualifications

• Minimum five years of government acquisition, finance, or related experience in a DoW organization.
• Hands-on experience developing, maintaining, and troubleshooting Qlik Sense applications.
• Experience with BI and self-service visualization tools such as Power BI or Tableau.
• Experience with CCaR and/or PMRT preferred.
• Experience with DoW/DAF DoW or DAf DoA DoW/DAF data systems preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, computer science, mathematics, accounting, economics, or related discipline; equivalent experience allowed.
• U.S. citizenship required; H1‑B and other visas are not sponsored.
• Ability to sit, type, hear, see, and speak for extended periods; able to lift/carry at least 15 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Gather business requirements and analyze source systems to define underlying data sources and transformation requirements.
• Design data models and develop metadata for data analysis and visualization.
• Acquire and analyze enterprise-wide data and metrics to incorporate into dashboards.
• Collaborate with business areas to elicit, identify, prioritize, and document BI requirements.
• Serve as a functional and technical subject matter expert in data visualization and BI.
• Translate business needs into prototype reports and dashboards; contribute to design and visualization best practices.
• Develop deliverable dashboard solutions using BI tools based on requirements.
• Document data acquisition, data management, and data governance processes.
• Implement process improvements and efficiencies.
• Create training materials and user guides for end users.
• Conduct group and one-on-one training sessions with end users.
• Provide general support to government financial offices as needed.

About The Role

IDS is seeking an ambitious and self-motivated Data Analytics Specialist to provide data analytics support for government customers. This role involves working closely with senior leadership to perform data extraction, cleansing, analysis, visualization, and storytelling. The ideal candidate will have experience analyzing data from Air Force or other Department of Defense/Department of War systems, including Finance, Logistics, Personnel, Acquisition, and Contracting. The role requires a collaborative mindset, creative thinking, the ability to thrive under pressure, and adaptability to shifting priorities. Strong diplomatic, time management, and communication skills (both oral and written) are essential for success in this position.

Qualifications

• Minimum of five (5) years of government acquisition, finance, financial management, program management, or related experience within a Department of War organization.
• Minimum of five (5) years of hands‑on experience developing, maintaining, and troubleshooting Qlik Sense applications.
• Experience with Business Intelligence (BI) and self‑service data visualization tools such as Power BI or Tableau is preferred.
• Experience with CCaR and/or PMRT is preferred.
• Experience with Department of War (DoW) or Department of the Air Force (DAF) is preferred.
• Experience with Advana or War Data Platform (WDP) is preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in business management, engineering, computer science, mathematics, accounting, economics, or a related discipline.
• Equivalent experience of nine (9) or more years may be considered in lieu of a degree.
• Ability to sit, type, hear, see, and speak for extended periods, and lift/carry at least 15 lbs.
