The role focuses on handling business and construction disputes, depositions, motions, and trial preparation while advising clients directly and collaborating with senior attorneys.

Ideal candidates hold a J.D., California Bar licensure, and 3–5 years of related litigation experience; familiarity with Claude AI is a plus.

Qualifications

• J.D. from an accredited law school and active California State Bar membership.
• Approximately 3–5 years of civil/business/construction litigation experience.
• Strong deposition, motion practice, and trial preparation skills.
• Experience drafting and negotiating contracts is preferred.
• Excellent written and verbal communication with business owners and contractors.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating with experienced attorneys.
• Interest in developing courtroom and client-management skills.
• Familiarity with AI tools such as Claude is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Handle business and construction disputes from initial complaint through settlement or trial.
• Take and defend depositions.
• Draft and argue motions.
• Prepare cases for trial and participate in litigation strategy.
• Communicate directly with clients and provide practical legal advice.
• Represent business owners, general contractors, subcontractors, suppliers, and other clients.
• Draft, review, and negotiate contracts, subcontracts, and other business agreements.
• Advise clients regarding California licensing, payment, and compliance matters.
• Manage assigned matters and take increasing ownership of cases.
• Collaborate with senior attorneys and incorporate feedback to improve legal work and case strategy.

Benefits

• Salary: $115,000-$150,000+, depending on experience and qualifications
• Salary flexibility available for highly qualified candidates with 5+ years of experience
