Huntington Bancshares, Inc. is seeking an experienced underwriter for Business Banking loans to assess credit worthiness and ensure compliance with lending policy.

You will review financial information, communicate credit decisions, and resolve issues as a liaison to internal customers within a banking environment. The role covers underwriting loans up to $500,000, advising on loan structure, and documenting decisions with clear conditions to close, while maintaining up-to-date policy knowledge

Duties and Responsibilities

• Provides advice to Business Bankers, Branch Managers and Business Banking Specialists on structure and terms.
• Interacts with Lenders to understand the credit request; obtain information and communicate credit decisions.
• Clearly documents the detail and requirements of loan decisions, including conditions to close.

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting or Business
• 3-5 years of experience underwriting or analyzing business or commercial clients in a banking environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Microsoft Office Suites (excel, pp, word)
• Excellent analytical skills along with the ability to write in a concise, logical manner to clearly document transactions risks and mitigants.
• Customer service focus and good interpersonal skills are critical to be successful in this position along with a desire to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience working in financial sales environment preferred.
• 3-5 years of experience underwriting or analyzing business or commercial clients in a banking environment, may be suitable if Bachelors Degree in related fields above isnot present.

Compensation Range

$57,000 - $113,000 Annual Salary

The compensation range represents the anticipated low and high end of the base compensation range for this position. Actual compensation will vary based on various factors including but not limited to location, experience, and education.
