Job Title: Business Architect - LMS / E-Learning

Job Summary:
Seeking an Agile-experienced proxy-Product Owner to act as an on-site Business Solutions Architect to an eLearning institution who are about to embark upon building a highly-innovative Learning Management System (LMS) product for the academic and corporate L&D marketplaces.
The successful candidate will lead a team of off-shore business analysts and act as a single point of contact for the end client. Not only will the candidate be responsible for running the up-front "Discovery" phase to identify all strategic, functional, and non-functional requirements for the platform, but then manage and prioritize the LMS product backlog during application development.
The successful candidate will bridge the gap between business needs and technical solutions, ensuring the LMS meets the evolving needs of learners, parents, administrators, and stakeholders.


Project Details:

• Translate business requirements into functional and technical specifications for development teams.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather, analyze, and document LMS requirements and enhancements.
• Create User Journey Maps and User Story Maps.
• Support the implementation and integration of the LMS with Course Authoring tools using standards such as LTI, SCORM, IMS CC, and xAPI.
• Work closely with instructional designers, HR, training teams, and IT to ensure effective content delivery and system performance.
• Act as a proxy-Product Owner in managing and prioritizing the product backlog.
• Act as a single point-of-contact for the end client in representing the Scrum development teams.
• Frequently visit the client site.
• Lead a team of off-shore business analysts in developing process flows, user stories, and use cases to support system design and testing.
• Lead or participate in user acceptance testing (UAT) and training sessions.
• Monitor LMS performance, troubleshoot issues, and coordinate with vendors or IT teams for resolution.
• Create reports and dashboards for usage tracking, compliance, and learning analytics.
• Stay current on e-learning trends, technologies, and best practices to recommend system improvements.
  

Must Haves:

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business, or related field.
• 5+ years of experience as a Business Analyst, preferably with LMS or e-learning platforms.
• Experience in acting as a proxy-Product Owner or Product Owner.
• Experience in running Requirements Elaboration / Discovery phases for LMS applicatios.
• Strong understanding of LMS architecture, SCORM, xAPI, LTI, and content management.
• Experience with system integrations (HRIS, CRM, SSO, etc.) and APIs.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Proficiency with business analysis tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence, Visio, Excel).
• Strong Knowledge of Agile or hybrid project methodologies.
  

Desired Skills

• Experience with specific LMS platforms (e.g., Cornerstone, Workday Learning, Docebo, Canvas, Talent).
• Business Analysis Certification (CBAP, CCBA, or similar).
• Experience in corporate training or higher education environments.
