Job summary
US Conec, Ltd. is seeking a Business & Technology Development Manager to spearhead growth in fiber-optics and data-center markets. You’ll build relationships with operators, vendors, and manufacturers, shaping opportunities and product roadmaps.
Willingness to spend time in our Hickory, NC office and travel +/- 50% is required. You’ll drive account plans, present technical and commercial proposals, and collaborate with Product and Engineering to define requirements.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a technical field is required.
- Proven success in business development or strategic partnerships.
- Strong understanding of optical communications and the data-center ecosystem.
- Ability to translate complex technical concepts into business opportunities.
- Excellent presentation, communication, and relationship-management skills.
- Solid project-management, analytical, and organizational abilities.
- Willingness to travel frequently (+/- 50%).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

- Develop and maintain strong relationships with data-center operators, system vendors, and transceiver manufacturers.
- Understand customer roadmaps to uncover new product-development opportunities.
- Drive strategic account plans and launch fiber-optic connectivity solutions.
- Present tailored technical and commercial proposals as a consultative partner.
- Collaborate with Product Management and Engineering to define product requirements.
- Manage multiple technology and development programs from kickoff to delivery.
- Represent US Conec at industry conferences and forums.

We’re thrilled to share an exciting opportunity for a Business & Technology Development Manager to spearhead strategic growth initiatives in the fiber-optics and data-center market! In this role, you’ll have the chance to build and nurture valuable relationships with customers and partners, drive new business opportunities, and shape the roadmap for high-performance fiber-optic products that will power the next generation of network infrastructure. Must be willing to spend time in our Hickory, NC office and travel +/- 50%.
