Job summary

Centene Corporation is seeking a Business Analytics & Process Improvement Intern to support the Vendor IT Governance team by analyzing business processes and providing data-driven insights. The role collaborates with project managers, identity and access management, and vendor partners to support reporting, governance activities, and strategic initiatives.

Responsibilities include collecting data, building dashboards, documenting processes, and participating in continuous improvement projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent undergraduate coursework completed.
• Must be enrolled in a graduate program through the internship period.
• Pursuing Master’s degree in Business Analytics, Data Analytics, Information Systems, Business Administration, Operations Management, or related field.

• Include collecting and analyzing operational data, developing dashboards and reports, documenting business processes, identifying trends and root causes, supporting continuous improvement projects, and assisting with project management and governance activities.
• Gain hands-on experience with business analytics, artificial intelligence, process improvement methodologies, executive reporting, Power BI, Microsoft 365 tools, and cross-functional project delivery.
• Learn about various processes and functions within the Managed Care industry and develop professionally by contributing to projects that support the business.

Learn about various processes and functions within the Managed Care industry and develop professionally by contributing to projects that support the business.

• Learn various job functions within the Managed Care industry and explore various career opportunities
• Apply academic knowledge and learn new skills by contributing to various projects
• Communicate project status and results to staff mentors and management
• Research various legal, regulatory, and other topics within functional area and industry
• Attend training and development presentations to enhance professional competencies
• Performs other duties as assigned
• Complies with all policies and standards

The salary range is:

$21.00 - $30.00 per hour

Education/Experience:

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent undergraduate coursework completed. Must be enrolled in a graduate program at an accredited university or college in a field related to the hiring department through the internship period. Pursuing Master's degree in Business Analytics, Data Analytics, Information Systems, Business Administration, Operations Management, or a related field.
