Job summary

CVS Health is seeking a data engineer to join the Strategic Intelligence and Automation team in Kentucky. You will build ETL workflows using Dataiku and Python, manipulate data, and populate datasets for analytics and reporting.

You will collaborate with product managers, clinical support, and designers to gather requirements, test solutions, and document work, while supporting ongoing data analysis and knowledge sharing across the organization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent years of experience.
• 2+ years experience in ETL work with Dataiku or Alteryx.
• 2+ years' experience with Python and data engineering.

Position Summary

As a member of the Strategic Intelligence and Automation team you will be part of a nimble team that lives in and amongst data. We specialize in automating the movement of data, integrating data analysis to create new business processes, and reporting out the findings of our analysis. As part of the team you will:

• Build ETL workflows using Dataiku and Python to receive, manipulate and populate data
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product managers, clinical support, and designers, to gather and document product requirements
• Support direct team members in testing and troubleshooting and documenting work
• Aid in retaining our client base by researching and resolving client issues by writing queries and analyzing data
• Answer internal questions by investigating the data sets
• Contributes to knowledge management initiatives to ensure that knowledge and best practices are understood and shared across the organization
• Actively contributes to team meetings, brainstorming sessions, and collaborative projects, including sharing ideas, providing feedback, and contributing to the overall goals and objectives of the team
• Assists in maintaining our integrated high-performance culture

Required Qualifications

• Intermediate understanding of SQL language
• 2+ years experience in ETL work with Dataiku or Alteryx
• 2+ years' experience with Python
• 2+ years' experience in data engineering
• Awareness of problem solving and decision-making skills
• Ability to work well independently as well as in a team environment
• Excellent communication skills
• Ability to work with large data sets from multiple sources

Preferred Qualifications

• 4+ years with multiple SQL dialects (T-SQL, Google BigQuery, Oracle)
• 4+ years' experience with Python
• 4+ years' experience with ETL work using Dataiku or Alteryx
• 4+ years in a data engineering role
• 2+ years using Azure Devops for project management
• Awareness of problem solving and decision-making skills
• Ability to work well independently as well as in a team environment
• Excellent communication skills
• Ability to work with large data sets from multiple sources

Pay Range

The typical pay range for this role is:

$43,888.00 - $102,081.00

This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.
