Job summary

FrankCrum in Clearwater, FL seeks a seasoned Business Analyst Manager to lead and optimize projects across applications used by Frank Winston Crum Insurance. This full-time role emphasizes delivering measurable business value through strategic requirements and cross-functional collaboration.

You will mentor a team of business analysts, partner with stakeholders, guide QA testing, and ensure delivery on time and within scope while safeguarding information confidentiality.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business administration or information systems or related field.
• MBA preferred; equivalent years’ experience may be substituted.
• Seven years of experience in a Business Analyst role within a workers’ compensation insurance environment.
• Five years of insurance business experience (underwriting, commercial lines underwriting, etc.).
• Experience with business analysis methodologies, process improvement, project and risk management.

Responsibilities

• Leads projects of moderate scope and complexity or serves as a technical advisor.
• Develops and manages project plans, schedules, goals, success criteria, milestones; manages issues, risks and decisions.
• Acts as liaison between customers and development teams for requirements flow.
• Conducts interviews and requirements gathering sessions with business representatives.
• Monitors progress by tracking activity, resolving problems, publishing reports, and recommending actions.
• Communicates issues to business customers and elicits feedback for developers.
• Works with developers/contractors to analyze and design system components.
• Provides training and technical support to system end-users.
• Follows up with stakeholders to ensure client satisfaction.
• Maintains confidentiality of information and protects operations.
• Guides, mentors and reviews the work of the Business Analyst team.
• Collaborates with QA to ensure proper testing of development efforts.

The Role You'll Play to Create Success

We are excited to announce our search for a full-time Business Analyst Manager! In this role, you will have the opportunity to impact the FrankCrum business everyday by taking an active leading role in supporting the various applications used by Frank Winston Crum Insurance.

1. Leads projects of moderate scope and complexity or serve as a technical advisor to project teams.
2. Demonstrates ability to develop and manage all size project plans, project schedules, team goals, success criteria, and project milestones. Must be able to take ownership and responsibility to manage issues, risks, decisions, and the overall success of a project.
3. Serves as the liaison between the customer community and the development teams through which requirements flow.
4. Conducts interviews and leads requirements gathering sessions with business representatives to elicit and document business requirements for system development.
5. Monitors project progress by tracking activity; resolving problems; publishing progress reports; recommending actions.
6. Communicates effectively issues to business customers and elicit feedback for applications programmers and technology solution providers
7. Works with Application developers / contractors to analyze and develop conceptual design of system components
8. Provides training and technical support to system end-users.
9. Follows up with internal stakeholders about completed tasks to ensure client satisfaction.
10. Maintains user confidence and protects operations by keeping information confidential.
11. Guides, mentors and review the work of the Business Analyst team.
12. Works with Quality Assurance to ensure proper testing of system development efforts.

The Attributes We Seek

1. Bachelor’s degree in business administration or information systems or related field, MBA preferred. Equivalent years’ experience may be substituted.
2. Seven (7) years’ of experience in a Business Analyst capacity, focused in a workers’ compensation insurance business environment.
3. Five (5) years of insurance business experience (underwriting, commercial lines underwriting, business support services, WC or GL UA, etc.)
4. Previous experience/exposure to business analysis methodology, process improvement methodology, project and risk management and industry related tools.
