Equitable is seeking a dynamic Business Analyst-Life associate to join our growing team in Springfield IL.
What You Will Be Doing
- Gather information and compile data needed to prepare annual policy reviews and client materials.
- Review reports and plan information for accuracy and identify potential data discrepancies for further review.
- Support the preparation of policy reviews, illustrations, and comparison materials for advisors and clients.
- Run in-force illustrations and alternative scenarios using carrier software based on established processes and guidelines.
- Assist in analyzing policy performance and preparing supporting materials that help advisors discuss options with clients.
- Learn and apply product features, carrier guidelines, and company procedures when preparing case designs and reviews.
- Utilize CES products, systems, and software to create case studies and perform basic capacity analyses.
- Build and maintain financial models, spreadsheets, and reports using Excel and carrier software.
- Enter client and policy data accurately into internal systems and proactively correct errors when identified.
- Respond to advisor questions regarding prepared materials and provide timely support throughout the review process.
- Support retention and client service efforts by delivering accurate and timely case design materials.
- Communicate plan concepts and product information clearly to advisors and internal business partners.
- Manage multiple assignments simultaneously while meeting established deadlines and service expectations.
- Use Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and other business applications to prepare reports and presentations.
- Develop proficiency in CES systems, including LIPQ and SERP Builder, to improve efficiency and accuracy.
- Provide high-quality service and maintain a positive advisor experience consistent with CES service standards.
- Assist with marketing and case design projects related to life insurance and multi-life opportunities.
- Coordinate and track compliance review and approval processes for marketing materials used in the sales process.
- Maintain organized electronic files and documentation in accordance with company procedures and compliance requirements.
Participate in ongoing training to enhance knowledge of products, software applications, and internal processes.

This position is an in-office role that allows you to stay fully engaged with your team to provide outstanding, customer-focused service during our core hours (8:00 AM–5:00 PM). Office location is 4341 Acer Grove Road, Suite C300, Springfield, IL 62711
The base salary range for this position is$58,000 - $60,000. Actual base salaries vary based on skills, experience, and geographical location. In addition to base pay, Equitable provides compensation to reward performance with base salary increases, spot bonuses, and short-term incentive compensation opportunities. Eligibility for these programs depends on level and functional area of responsibility.

- Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Insurance, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
- 1+ years of experience in an analytical, insurance, financial services, sales support, or related role.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex data and identify anomalies.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including financial modeling, data analysis, and reporting.
- Demonstrated ability to learn and apply complex insurance product features, carrier software, and internal systems.
- Strong mathematical aptitude and attention to detail with a commitment to accuracy.
- Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities, large work volumes, and competing deadlines.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain complex concepts to diverse audiences.
- Strong customer service orientation and commitment to delivering a concierge-level experience.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with advisors, partners, and cross-functional teams.
