The Mass General Physicians Organization Business Intelligence Team is seeking a collaborative Business Analyst to help teams access, understand, and use data to support operational decision-making. In this role, you will partner with stakeholders, translate business needs into clear reporting requirements, support reporting tools and workflows, and help ensure data and reports are accurate, reliable, and easy to use.
What You’ll Bring Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and collaboration skills. Clear written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to gather requirements, explain findings, and deliver presentations. Experience gathering business requirements and translating them into actionable reporting or analytics specifications. Ability to work effectively with business users, technical teams, vendors, operations partners, and leadership. Experience creating and executing test cases to support accurate, high‑quality reporting. Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. A proactive, process‑driven approach with a strong focus on understanding and exceeding customer needs. Ability to build productive relationships with peers, supervisors, customers, and management.
You are curious about how data supports business operations and enjoy turning complex questions into clear requirements. You communicate well with both technical and non-technical partners and can tailor your message to different audiences. You are organized, responsive, and comfortable balancing multiple requests and priorities. You take ownership of follow‑through and help ensure reporting solutions are accurate, useful, and aligned with stakeholder needs. You enjoy documenting processes, sharing knowledge, and supporting end users as they adopt tools and reports.
