Job summary

TMNA Services LLC in Bala Cynwyd, PA, is seeking a business systems analyst to support formulation of system scope and requirements. You will develop functional requirements, assist in testing, and help train end users on new applications.

Responsibilities include documenting needs, translating them to design, and guiding teams through system implementation with attention to detail and collaboration across stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree preferred (MIS/IT/Business) with 2–5 years’ experience.
• Excellent problem solving and analytical skills.
• Experience writing business requirements and functional specs.
• Demonstrated knowledge of SDLC.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office: Visio, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Access.
• Ability to elicit and document required business functionality and non-functional needs.
• Familiar with formal methodologies for planning and executing application development.
• Knowledge of design, development and support of Client/Server applications.
• Ability to write business requirements and functional specifications.
• Strong writing and communication skills.
• Customer service oriented, collaborative and accurate.
• Strong interpersonal relationship building skills.

Job Summary:

Provides support for the formulation and definition of systems scope and objectives based on both user needs and a good understanding of applicable business systems and industry requirements. Responsible for the development of functional requirements, testing, training and implementation of applications.

Essential Job Functions:

• Participates in the review, analysis and documentation of business systems and user needs
• Responsible for the collection, documentation and maintenance of functional requirements and modeling
• Supports the planning and execution of functional testing
• Assists in the development and delivery of training for end users
• Assists in formulating and designing system scope and objective based on user needs and thorough understanding of business processes
• Provides technical guidance concerning business implications of application development projects
• Gathers and analyzes information and supports resolutions to address application or business issues for a specific business group
• Assists in designing, planning, and coordinating work teams
• Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals
• Collects and defines requirements, translates into functional design documents and participates in the technical design, test planning and user documentation processes
• Participates in software design, prototyping, and testing of new or enhanced applications
• Works with users and peers in planning, developing, implementing, and supporting new or existing applications
• Assists in training users on new or enhanced applications

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree preferred (preferably in MIS, IT, or Business) 2-5 years’ experience preferred.
• Excellent problem solving and analytical skills
• Experience writing business requirements and functional specs
• Demonstrated knowledge of SDLC.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office products (Visio, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Access)
• Knowledge of activities, tasks, practices and deliverables associated with eliciting and clearly. defining and documenting required business functionality as well as non-functional requirements
• Knowledge of formal methodologies for planning and executing application development, enhancement, or support
• Knowledge of tools and techniques for design, development, and support of Client/Server applications
• Ability to write business requirements and functional specifications
• Strong writing and communication skills
• Strong customer service orientation (responsive, consultative, collaborative and accurate)
• Strong interpersonal relationship building skills: able to work with a variety of people and groups in a constructive and collaborative manner
• Strong analytical ability with the capability to determine the root cause of problems and issues and provide solutions

• Salary range $69,000 to $86,000. Ultimate salary offered will be based on factors such as applicant experience and geographic location.
