Job Summary and Responsibilities

Acentra Health is looking for a Business Analyst, Mid (MES) to join our growing team.

Job Summary:

The Business Analyst, Mid is responsible for analyzing business problems, identify gaps, and developing technical solutions involving complex information systems with no supervision for Provider Enrollment, Screening and Credentialing sub systems. This role provides support with determining appropriate methods on potential assignments and serving as a bridge between information technology teams and the client through all project phases; provide day-to-day direction on State program activities.

Responsibilities:
  • Work Independently and participates in client interactions, presentations, and solution discussions within assigned scope.
  • Possesses unwavering commitment to customer service and operational excellence.
  • Leading client workshops, design sessions, and solution demonstrations.
  • Ownership of the end-to-end requirements lifecycle, including elicitation, documentation, traceability, and change management.
  • Performing decision analysis and evaluating alternative solutions to identify the most effective business outcome.
  • Acting as a requirements SME and influencing stakeholder decisions through business analysis expertise, domain knowledge, and strong communication.
  • Accountability for feature or workstream outcomes, including alignment, issue resolution, and successful delivery.
  • Manages and prioritizes assigned tasks across project phases, ensuring timely delivery.
  • Owns assigned deliverables end-to-end within scope and is accountable for quality and timelines.
  • Creates and maintains business process models and workflow diagrams.
  • Supports and participates in testing activities including User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and implementation support.
  • Understands the overall system architecture and cross-functional integration.
  • Makes independent decisions within assigned scope and escalates complex issues appropriately.
  • Develops strong functional knowledge of systems and healthcare domain.
  • Identifies risks, manages scope changes, and communicates issues proactively.
  • Uses BA tools (e.g., Jira, Visio, Excel) to support analysis, documentation, and requirements tracking.
  • Creates and maintains requirements documentation including use cases, workflow diagrams, and gap analysis
  • Analyzes user requirements and client business needs independently to identify gaps and recommend solutions.
  • Owns requirements within assigned scope, ensuring completeness, bi-directional traceability, and alignment with business needs.
  • Read, understand, and adhere to all corporate policies including policies related to HIPAA and its Privacy and Security Rules.

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's’ degree with 4+ years of business analysis experience.
  • Experience on large complex projects and domain knowledge of Medicare Medicaid and/or healthcare verticals.
  • Strong knowledge in Medicaid Management Information System and related subsystems.
  • Strong business analysis skills including requirements elicitation, documentation, and validation
  • Experience with SDLC processes and BA best practices
  • Strong stakeholder communication and facilitation skills
Preferred Qualifications
  • Strong knowledge and proficiency in SQL, plus high-level of technical and database knowledge.
  • Experience supporting moderately complex to large-scale Medicaid or healthcare programs.
  • Knowledge of MMIS Provider Enrollment and related subsystems.
  • Familiarity with SQL, reporting, analytics, or data visualization tools such as Power BI or Tableau as preferred qualifications.
  • Strong expertise in requirements elicitation, analysis, documentation, and validation.

Experience in Lieu of Degree

For non-clinical roles, or when not required by the contract specifically, the Company acknowledges that practical, hands-on experience can provide skills and competencies equivalent to formal education. As such, in cases where a Bachelor's degree may be required, the Company will accept a minimum of six (6) years of directly relevant professional experience in lieu of a degree. In instances where the candidate has an Associate's degree, the Company will accept a minimum of three (3) years of directly relevant professional experience in lieu of the Bachelor's degree.
