Description

Renaissance Financial is a comprehensive financial services firm with locations in St. Louis, Overland Park, Omaha, Phoenix, and Salt Lake City. Our Mission: Using creative business and personal planning, we help our clients achieve financial freedom… one opportunity at a time. Our true team approach and entrepreneurial atmosphere set us apart from other firms in our industry. Joining our close-knit team at Renaissance Financial will inspire professional growth through numerous opportunities while creating a lasting impact on our organization and community. We support and reward our staff through team outings and industry leading benefits because we sincerely care about the well‑being of our team members.

We are an equal opportunity employer. We celebrate diversity and are committed to creating an inclusive environment for all employees.

The mission of this full-time position is to partner with teams and managers across the organization to identify practical, compliant opportunities to improve workflows through artificial intelligence. This role translates business needs into AI-enabled solutions, supports adoption of approved AI tools, and measures productivity gains through clear documentation, feedback, and follow-up.

About the Role:

The Business Analyst, Artificial Intelligence is responsible for helping Renaissance Financial evaluate, design, and implement responsible AI‑assisted workflow improvements. This role meets with departments, managers, and team members to understand existing processes, document requirements, identify opportunities for AI‑enabled efficiency, and develop practical solutions using approved platforms such as Microsoft Copilot and Claude. The position also supports a culture of safe and compliant AI usage by helping team members understand appropriate use cases, documenting measurable outcomes, and following up after implementation to determine time savings and business value.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Meet with teams, managers, and business stakeholders to analyze current workflows, pain points, repetitive tasks, and opportunities for improvement through approved artificial intelligence tools.
  • Execute the AI Strategic Plan: translate its five goals into deployment strategies, establish baseline measurements before launch, and report adoption, productivity, quality, governance, and innovation metrics to the Manager, Cybersecurity and other stakeholders.
  • Assist with the development of the internal AI Hub as the firm’s single point of access for approved tools, policies, training, prompt libraries, use‑case guidance, and innovation intake.
  • Serve as product owner for Jump AI and other tools as prescribed. This includes configuration, licensing, roadmap, vendor support, escalation, and maintenance of the approved AI Tools Matrix.
  • Design, build, test, and maintain reusable AI solutions, including Claude “skills,” instruction sets, prompts, and project knowledge bases, with guardrails that mitigate hallucination and keep a human accountable for final work product.
  • Embed with departments as an internal consultant: map current‑state processes, identify and deliver AI use cases, run the AI Champions Network, deliver role‑based training, and gather feedback through focus groups and pulse surveys.
  • Ensure every use case aligns with the firm’s Conditions of Use, data‑classification rules, and regulatory obligations, including applicable FINRA and SEC requirements; support controls that reduce shadow AI and document use cases so the firm can evidence them to auditors and examiners.

Other duties may be assigned to meet business needs.

  • Strong business analysis skills, including the ability to understand workflows, ask effective questions, identify root causes, and translate business needs into clear requirements.
  • Technical depth paired with practical curiosity - genuinely interested in how large language models work, and willing to read documentation, test, and iterate rather than wait for a vendor to supply the answer.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to explain AI concepts, limitations, and appropriate use cases to non‑technical audiences.
  • Highly organized and detail‑oriented, with the ability to document requirements, decisions, workflows, outcomes, and follow‑up actions accurately.
  • Strong active listening and collaboration skills, with the ability to build trust across departments and work effectively with managers, team members, IT, Cybersecurity, and Compliance.
  • Comfortable learning new technologies, testing AI‑assisted workflows, and refining solutions based on feedback and measured results.
  • Sound judgment regarding data privacy, client confidentiality, and responsible technology use - including the judgment to recognize when a use case has compliance conflicts and needs to be escalated.
  • Professional, personable, and polished in all interactions, including with team members at all levels of the organization.

Education, Training & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, Software Engineering, Data Science, Data Analytics, or a closely related technical field required.
  • Demonstrated hands‑on experience building with generative AI beyond consumer use - professional, academic, internship, or personal project work are required.
  • Working understanding of AI fundamentals, including how large language models produce output, context and grounding, retrieval‑augmented generation, tool and function calling, output evaluation, and the causes and mitigation of hallucination required.
  • Working proficiency in Python, PowerShell, and JSON required.
  • 1-3 years of professional experience in solutions engineering, business analysis, technology enablement, or a related technical field required.
  • Experience administering an enterprise AI platform; building SharePoint Online sites; Power Platform or Microsoft Forms; financial services or another regulated industry; AI governance frameworks such as the NIST AI Risk Management Framework required.
  • Claude Certified Associate or Architect certifications required.

Computer Equipment & Software:

Proficiency in the use of:

  • Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, OneNote, SharePoint, and Teams
  • Microsoft Copilot and other approved Microsoft 365 productivity tools
  • The Renaissance AI Technology stack: Claude, Copilot, Jump AI, and other tools as approved
  • Survey, form, and feedback tools used to measure adoption, user experience, and time savings
  • Process documentation, diagramming, project tracking, and collaboration tools
  • Salesforce or other business applications used by internal teams

Working Conditions:

  • Business professional, in‑office environment.
  • Overtime hours and travel may be required.

We are committed to providing an accessible work environment. If you need accommodations, please let us know.

Benefits and Incentives:

  • Employer provided 401k contribution (up to 10% based on team member eligible compensation annually).
  • Employer Paid Medical Insurance.
  • Potential for Annual Variable Compensation and Bonuses.
  • Employer Licensing Coverage and Growth Opportunities.
