Job summary

Entergy in New Orleans is seeking a CS Business Analyst to manage the relationship with end users for small to medium projects. You will elicit requirements and user stories and represent them throughout the systems development lifecycle.

You will lead requirements elicitation, documentations, and collaborate with a business analysis team under supervision on larger initiatives. This role emphasizes strong communication, process modeling, and aligning IT solutions with business needs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline or equivalent experience; 3+ years in a business environment.
• 3+ years' experience in a BA role.
• Strong BA fundamentals and documentation skills.

• Coordinates Plan & Define activities for small to medium size projects.
• Development of business process models and business requirements/user stories (functional and non-functional).
• Partners with the business community to develop comprehensive user acceptance testing/training plans and ensuring the application is successfully transitioned to production.

CS Business Analyst In this role, you will be accountable for maintaining the relationship with the end user for small to medium scale projects. You are responsible for eliciting requirements/user stories and representing them throughout the systems development cycle. The CS Business Analyst will lead requirements elicitation and documentation for a small to medium sized project and work as part of a business analysis team on larger projects under the supervision of more senior colleagues.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Coordinates Plan & Define activities as part of the Requirements Development process for small to medium size projects
• Development of business process models and business requirements/user stories (functional and non-functional)
• Partners with the business community to develop comprehensive user acceptance testing/training plans and ensuring the application is successfully transitioned to production
• Investigates business issues and data challenges
• Serves as the requirements liaison across project stakeholders
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor's degree required (technical discipline preferred) or equivalent experience. 3+ years in an applicable business environment.
• 3+ years' experience in a BA role

• Working technical knowledge and understanding of business analyst fundamentals
• Working technical knowledge of writing and leading Business Requirements Documents
• Working technical knowledge of business process modeling; knowledge in business/functional domain
• Understanding of business issues and data challenges of the assigned business area
• Understanding of business processes and how applications support the process
• Demonstrate critical skills such as collaboration, strong written and verbal communication skills, and analytical capability
• Ability to facilitate sessions with project stakeholders, asking probing questions to elicit business process discussion and creating process flow diagrams.
