Job summary

TCI Technology Consulting Inc in Louisville, KY seeks a Business Analyst / Solutions Consultant on a contract-to-hire basis. The role acts as liaison between clients, project teams, and technical resources to ensure business needs are understood and delivered.

You will facilitate requirements sessions, translate needs into documents and user stories, manage approvals, and support QA and UAT, and deployment activities while building strong stakeholder relationships.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate requirements gathering sessions with clients and stakeholders.
• Translate requirements into clear documentation including BRDs, user stories, flows, acceptance criteria and specs.
• Lead requirements review sessions, manage feedback, and obtain stakeholder approvals.
• Partner with Project Managers to develop scope, plans, timelines, resource estimates, and milestones.
• Create and manage project stories, tasks, and backlog items for agile/traditional delivery.
• Collaborate with development teams to clarify requirements and ensure solutions meet objectives.
• Perform QA and solution validation to ensure accuracy and completeness of requirements.
• Support clients during UAT, including test planning, issue resolution, and signoff.
• Oversee deployment activities and post-deployment testing for stability.
• Analyze processes to identify opportunities for improvement and efficiency.

TCI has an immediate need for a Business Analyst / Solutions Consultant in Louisville, KY. This is not a Corp2Corp opportunity. This is a contract-to-hire opportunity.

The Business Analyst serves as the primary liaison between clients, project teams, and technical resources to ensure business needs are accurately understood, documented, and delivered. This role requires exceptional communication skills, strong analytical thinking, and the ability to build trusted relationships with stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Facilitate requirements gathering sessions with clients and stakeholders, asking insightful and strategic questions to uncover business needs, objectives, dependencies, and project risks.
• Translate business requirements into clear, detailed documentation including business requirements documents, user stories, process flows, acceptance criteria, and functional specifications.
• Lead requirements review sessions, manage feedback, and obtain formal stakeholder approvals and signoffs.
• Partner with Project Managers to develop project scope, plans, timelines, resource estimates, and delivery milestones.
• Create and manage project stories, tasks, and backlog items to support agile and traditional project delivery methodologies.
• Collaborate closely with development teams to clarify requirements, answer questions, and ensure the solution aligns with business objectives.
• Perform quality assurance and solution validation activities to verify accuracy, completeness, and adherence to documented requirements.
• Support clients during User Acceptance Testing (UAT), including test planning, issue resolution, and signoff coordination.
• Oversee deployment activities and perform Post-Deployment Testing (PDT) to ensure successful implementation and system stability.
• Analyze business processes and identify opportunities for process improvement, automation, and operational efficiencies.
• Monitor project changes, assess impacts, and communicate updates to stakeholders.
• Build and maintain strong working relationships with clients, project teams, vendors, and executive stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.
• Ensure successful project outcomes by proactively managing expectations, identifying risks, and facilitating effective communication among all parties.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS:

• 2 - 5 years as a Business Analyst
• 2+ years working with SQL database
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a client-focused and personable approach.
• Strong facilitation, interviewing, and requirements elicitation skills.
• Proven ability to create clear, comprehensive, and organized documentation.
• Experience working with project management, software development, QA, deployment, and business stakeholders.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
