Job summary

Unknown is seeking a Business Analyst with Capital Markets experience to translate business needs into clear requirements and use cases. You will coordinate with QTS teams moving onto the Aperture platform and engage stakeholders to ensure product fit.

Responsibilities include data analysis, feasibility documentation, and collaboration with platform engineering to align data requirements and integrations. Compliance and information security guidelines apply throughout the work.

Qualifications

• Strong business domain understanding of Financial Services/ Capital Markets.
• Ability to work independently, apply critical and strategic thinking to issues, and manage deadlines.
• 5+ years of experience as a Business Analyst on large and complex projects.
• Experience with Waterfall, Iterative and/or Agile delivery methodologies.
• Experience in requirements planning and prioritization including stakeholder analysis and effort estimation, with data analysis skills (SQL/Tableau/Python).

Role: Business Analyst with Capital Market Experience or Banking

Location: Jersey City, NJ

Job Description:

Requirement Analysis and Documentation

• Engage and partner with QTS application teams moving onto the Aperture platform to understand their analytical use-cases/ business goals and confirm product fit
• Facilitate information gathering sessions including leading discussions, managing group dynamics, and maintaining group focus, to work towards accomplishing the stated goal(s) of the session within the context of the project objectives - From these information sessions, gathers the requirements and documents them, along with business use cases, feasibility analysis and cross functional diagrams as needed
• Partner with the platform engineering teams to ensure technical capabilities and data requirements are well understood, identify dependencies and integration points
• Work with senior stakeholders to validate their requirements and analysis via techniques such as reviews and walkthroughs and ensure system specifications meet the business stakeholders’ expectations/requirements, and negotiate solutions when appropriate

Data Analysis

• Analyze incoming data sets and develop detailed requirements around sourcing solutions, identify provisioning requirements, data transformations etc.
• Able to decipher compliance, information security guidelines and apply them in the context of the datasets/ business requirements. Identify data accuracy requirements, solution options and remediation plans in case of a breach

Communication and Planning

• Participate in reviews or inspections, in collaboration with the project team, to ensure the quality of the deliverables
• Participate in the user acceptance testing, implementation planning and post implementation validations.

Must Have:

• Strong business domain understanding of Financial Services/ Capital Markets, excellent data analysis and solid background dealing with complex software products (preferably cloud/ data analytics focused)
• Ability to work independently, apply critical and strategic thinking to issues, and manage deadlines while multi-tasking amongst different priorities.
• 5+ years of experience working as a Business Analyst with progressively increasing responsibilities in the areas of requirements management on large and complex projects
• Proven experience with various project delivery methodologies such as Waterfall, Iterative and/or Agile
• Experience in requirements planning and prioritization including stakeholder analysis and effort estimation including Data analysis expertise (e.g., using SQL, Tableau, or Python)

Nice to Have:

• Masters Certificate in Business Analysis
• Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP), Certification of Competency in Business Analysis (CCBA), or Project Management Institute –Professional in Business Analysis (PMI – PBA) Certification (Preferred)
• Agile Certification (CSM, CSPO) or similar
• Experience of working with Capital Markets division of a multi-national bank or a Consulting firm focusing on similar clients
