Job summary

Maximus is hiring a Business Analyst to join our NY Shared Services team. This role supports New York Medicaid Choice programs by gathering requirements, supporting system enhancements, and driving process improvements in a Salesforce-focused environment.

You will work with operations and technology teams to translate business needs into functional requirements, assist with UAT, testing, and release readiness, and help ensure accurate documentation and ongoing process optimization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in related field.
• 3-5 years of relevant professional experience.
• Equivalent combination of education and experience considered in lieu of degree
• 3+ years of experience in business analysis, systems analysis, operations analysis, or system implementation.
• Experience translating business needs into functional requirements, workflows, or business processes.
• Experience collaborating with business stakeholders and technical teams.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, Access, and other business software applications.
• Experience in healthcare, Medicaid, managed care, or HIPAA-regulated environments.
• Experience supporting Salesforce, Salesforce Service Cloud, or Salesforce Field Service.
• Experience with software implementations, system integrations, or enterprise applications.
• Salesforce, CBAP, CCBA, PMI-PBA, or related certification.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Identify and determine business requirements and define processes, including clarification on any requirement discrepancies.

• Understand business problems and opportunities in the context of requirements and recommend solutions that enable the organization to achieve its goals.

• Extract, tabulate, and analyze data to support program activity and assist management with decision making.

• Review and edit requirements, specifications, business processes and recommendations related to new processes, functionalities, and/or proposed solutions.

• Process all Production Support Requests by receiving defect reports and cross-referencing the defect with the business requirements.

Minimum Requirements
